This major celebration is an annual signature affair and will be open to the public. The following three membership types - Transferable Individual Lifetime, Associate Transferable Lifetime and Ordinary Lifetime Memberships will be offered at never before prices. The first 90 who signs up for any of these memberships, will be entitled to $90 F&B vouchers, $90 retail vouchers and $90 spa vouchers. BEST OF BRITISH 2016 - in conjunction with the Queen’s 90th Birthday in June

SINGAPORE – The British Club Singapore will be presenting more than a week of

celebrations under the banner “The Best of British”, commencing Friday 3 June to and

including Saturday 11 June 2016. This major celebration is an annual signature affair and will

be open to the public.

This year, in conjunction with Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II - 90th birthday, the Club will be

Rosettes for Outstanding Cuisine and named Scottish Hotel Awards “Rising Star Chef of the

Year 2011”, award-winning Celebrity Chef, Mark Greenaway, will showcase his culinary

prowess at the Opening Gala Dinner and Ladies Luncheon and Fashion show. On the

theatrical front, we have highly acclaimed West End of London, musical artiste, Emma Dears,

performing at our West End Cabaret evening.

About Riding for the Disabled & the Gurkha Welfare Trust

Riding for the Disabled

The Riding for the Disabled Association of Singapore (RDA) provides free, therapeutic horse riding lessons to children and adults all over Singapore. These sessions can benefit virtually all disabilities, both physical and learning disabilities, in children and adults. Gurkha Welfare Trust

The Gurkha Welfare Trust helps Gurkha ex-servicemen who served the British Crown, and their dependants, who are in poverty or distress. Today, some 7,475 veterans and widows rely on a welfare pension from the Trust of around £50 each month.

Profile Pete Price is a Welsh-born British media personality and radio presenter based in Merseyside, England. He is best known for the Sunday night talk radio show Pete Price: Unzipped: broadcast across sister stations City Talk 105.9 and Radio City 96.7. The show is aired live from 10pm to 2am and follows an open forum format. Price’s weeknight phone in, Late Night City airs live between 10pm and 2am, from Monday to Thursday and is simulcast on City Talk 105.9 and Radio City 96.7. He is also a comedian, author, patron for Claire House Children’s Hospice and columnist for Liverpool Echo. He became a DJ for BBC Radio Merseyside at the age of twenty-one. Shortly after, Price made his first appearance on the comedy scene at Liverpool’s ‘The Shakespeare’, working at various venues which include The Palladium and the QE2. In the 1980s, he became a presenter on his former station’s rival, 194 Radio City, and has remained so in its various incarnations since. He continues to star in pantomimes in Liverpool and Merseyside, as well as working for national newspapers including The Independent and The Times. Pete was inducted into the Radio Academy Hall of Fame in December 2014 and awarded The Bierkeller, Liverpool Lifestyle Awards 2015. After 3 years at the helm of The Best of British, he has enthusiastically accepted The British Club’s invitation to be back this year as Master of Ceremonies for the Grand Finale Show on 11 June, an appearance on 9 June’s West End Dinner and Cabaret Show and the Comedy Night on 10 June.

acting career at the age of nine

when she toured the UK in the title

role of “Annie”. Emma was the

youngest to have played the role

professionally. At the age of sixteen,

she was offered offered a part in the

Tour of “Les Miserables” performing

in Dublin and Edinburgh. Emma ,

then went on to enjoy a long spell in London’s West End playing “Ellen”

in Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, “Milk Maid” and

Understudy to Ruthie Henshall as “Nancy” in Oliver at the London

Palladium and taking on the role of “Rizzo” in Grease at the Cambridge

Theatre.

During recent years Emma has been performing in “Judy & Liza” a

show that Emma has written and developed and has toured throughout

the UK playing the Role of “Liza”, It is a musical biopic based on the

lives of Mother and Daughter, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli.

Emma’s most recent theatre work is as the role of Helen Forrester’s

mother in the straight play version of Twopence to Cross the Mersey

which toured the NorthWest in 2015.

Emma has performed her one woman Cabaret show all over the world

and has also released an album “Where do you start?” She has also

been a soloist on BBC Radio2’s Friday Night is Music Night. Concert

Work includes the Les Miserables 10th anniversary at the Royal Albert

Hall, and the 25th Anniversary Gala of Miss Saigon.

Profile Mick Miller is a British stand-up comedian who has had a long career on the live comedy circuit. He is instantly recognisable for his trademark bald head and long hair down the sides. Mick’s first ambition was to be a footballer. When this did not work out, he went on to be a sports host for Pontins instead. Mick went on to perform at many comedy clubs and also on TV. August 2012 saw Mick perform at the famous Edinburgh Festival. He went on to perform and won the Ch4 series, “Comedy World Cup”. He is also a regular performer on the SHY1 Show. He returned to the scene in 2014 as a “Square” in the new series of “Celebrity Squares” hosted by Warwick Davies for ITV. Mick is enjoying his work, and loves the challenge of something new and different. He is very proud to be a patron of the charity, “Kids n Cancer UK” which offers hope to UK families who have seriously ill children.
