 Strength is one of the final developments that a person must have in their character when pursuing how to become a police officer. Physical strength and mental strength are both styles of strength an individual must possess when learning how to become a police officer.   Mental strength plays towards both the mental capacity of an individual as well as in the mental abilities of an individual. The challenges that are found in battling with the criminal elite lay prudence in regards to the importance of this characteristic. In addition to intelligence an individual needs to be able to mentally handle the various situations they are placed in within their working environment.   If an individual is prone to cracking under mental pressure then they are not the best candidates to discover how to become a police officer. Once the mental strength is assess the next area of characteristic lies in an individual’s physical strength. Physical strength plays a role in how to become a police officer in regards to an individual’s ability to compete with the criminal element.     Unfortunately the criminal element is made up of many different individuals at many different levels of health and if you are not in excellent physical condition you will not likely become a police officer.
