How to become a Rewards Insider...A new Rewards Insider member can be enrolled through MemberWeb. Go to Best Western Rewards > Front Desk Incentive and choose ‘Enrol a new employee’ from the drop down box.
A Rewards Insider membership number will be generated. Make a note of this as either the full number or the last 3 digits. This will need to be entered when enrolling guests to Best Western Rewards® to ensure points are credited to individual accounts.

Rewards Insider is the incentive scheme for Best Western employees funded by Best Western International.
Rewards Insider members earn 250 points for a qualified sign up and a further 250 points if a valid email address is captured.
This means that just 4 sign ups can earn Rewards Insider members enough points for a £5 voucher to spend at a number of stores including Amazon.co.uk, Marks and Spencer, Debenhams and many more.
To ensure you earn points for your sign ups, guests must be credited 500 points for OTA bookers and the room rate booked for any other guests.

By asking a guest to join Rewards you are not being an inconvenience, you are doing them a favour due to the instant benefits they receive
by joining.
With so many ridiculously easy ways to get rewarded, there’s always a
reason to start a conversation.
Add a join Rewards message to the guest registration card, whether it is added to the card itself or attached
as an extra slip of paper.
Remember to seek permission to be contacted for marketing (opt in).
It is completely free to join Rewards.
Rewards members earn 10 points for every $1USD they spend on their room rate. Typically a booking
of £165 will earn the guest enough points for a £5 gift voucher.
Rewards points never expire.
For every 10 stays a Rewards member makes, they will usually earn enough points to get their next stay
free (using the points they have acquired).
Rewards members receive specific discounted rates and exclusive promotions that the general public
don’t have access to.

Minimum Sign Up Measurements
OTA TARGETA hotel’s FDI minimum sign up target is
set at 1% of the hotel’s total available room inventory. An example for a 100-bedroom
hotel would be:
100 rooms x 1% = 1 sign up per day
This example equates to:
A hotel’s OTA minimum sign up target is set at 5% of the hotel’s OTA bookers.
Continuing the example of a 100-bedroom hotel, that has received 400 arrivals from
OTA bookers during the month of January, the sign up targets would be:
Sign ups must be qualified to count towards your targets, which means that points have been posted for the stay.
Minimum sign ups are measured quarterly for the previous 12 months

You can keep track of your qualified sign ups against your OTA enrolment goal at MemberWeb > Best Western Rewards > Reports > OTA BWR Property Enrolment Goal
It is important to note that the targets are not mutually exclusive, i.e. in the example above, if the hotel achieved 20 OTA sign ups plus a further 11 sign ups from any source,
then both targets would be achieved.

Only qualified enrolments count towards your minimum sign up targets. Here are some tips to ensure that your Best Western Rewards
enrolments are qualified:

Always enrol a Best Western Rewards member through your PMS and ensure the membership number is
attached to the Guest Profile
Points will only be credited if the guest
is booked on an eligible rate plan (see OTA guide regarding 500 points for newly
enrolled OTA bookers)
Ensure points are credited within 3
days of the guest’s departure
If the enrolment is made prior to the day of departure points will be credited to the
guest’s new Best Western Rewards account via
Pending Rewards
If the enrolment is made on the day of OR post departure
you must credit the points manually in MemberWeb (Best Western Rewards > Member Search > Enter
membership number > click on guest’s name > add stay details and credit points)
To ensure all points are credited, check your
Pending Rewards under Best Western Rewards in MemberWeb on a daily
basis
A full rebate* of the BWI FDI Rewards charge is made by Best Western International for a new Best Western Rewards member enrolment, so your hotel is charged nothing for this enrolment. If no email address is captured the rebate is reduced to 1.75%.
*This applies to hard brand hotels who are currently meeting their FDI target. Hotels which currently pay 5.5% for FDI transactions will have 3.5% rebated – a valid guest email address needs to be provided.

Subsequent OTA bookings made by the same guest are not eligible for points.
This is a great way for you to encourage OTA bookers to sign up to Best Western Rewards® and then book again direct through Best Western booking channels to ensure they receive the full amount of points for
future stays.
Remind them that the best rates are only available if they book direct.
To award the 500 points for an OTA booking when enrolled upon this stay, in MemberWeb go to Best Western Rewards > Pending Rewards and make sure
“Allow Pts” is ticked…
…or if enrolling on or post departure, action a Manual Entry. Selecting OTA rates from the drop down displays a message that 500 points are required and the BWR Points
field is automatically updated.

When a Rewards member makes an FX stay using their Best Western Rewards points, the points are automatically redeemed by BWI at the point of booking, saving time at the front desk. In certain circumstances, points are not automatically redeemed and should instead be taken from the guest’s account in MemberWeb upon arrival.
The redemption status of an FX reservation can be seen in the comments field of the booking in MemberWeb. If the member does not have sufficient points for
redemption, please charge the prevailing rate.
The points needed for an FX stay changes per day based on a hotel’s RACK rate.
To redeem points for FX stays in MemberWeb click on:
Best Western Rewards > Redeem Points > Enter the guest’s Rewards number > Amend the details for the stay date and number of nights > Display > Tick Select >
