P O W E R O F P R A Y E R THOSE WHO ARE SICK OR IN NEED OF HEALING Laura Bankes, Pastor Bob Bipes, Andrea Deacon-Jones, Allen Ecker, Pat Eich, Doris Fondroy, Gaye Frye, Shirley Halyburton, Ken Heiser, Aaron Hilke, Jean Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Harvey Keene, Cheryl Klanderman, Kim Lager-strom, Ruth Lewis, Herbert Lidtke, Dan Lindquist, Sarah Lockbaum, Andrew Mack, Augusto Perez, Sr., Terri Pomeroy, John Richmond, Rosemary Riemen-schneider, Kay Shager, Chuck Stene, Marilyn Whitchurch, Chris Wolfgram, Jason Yndestad.

THOSE SERVING OR DEPLOYED Jeffrey Berg, Charles Burns, Jordan Kein and Steven Moreus. HEALING MINISTRIES PRAYER I remember back to when I was a little girl. When I believed . . . in Santa, that is! Time in waiting as a child seemed to drag on and on. Much like waiting on the Lord in times of trial to bring us out of despair, the waiting can be long!

What if we could feel the magic of Christmas every day? We can, by choosing to live in faith. Believing in the unseen. The excitement that believing brings. We may not get everything we desire, however, He offers the greatest gift of all, eternal life!

Heavenly Father, I set my eyes on you, for in believing I am given the best gift of all, eternal life. Stir up in me the excitement of walking every day in faith, knowing that my struggles here are temporary, that time in waiting brings about miracles to glorify your name. It’s through your Son, Our Lord, Amen. “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

TODAY’S QUOTE “Each one of us has a place in the community of Christ, and ought to fill it! But he ought not to be everywhere and want to take part in everything . . . Take note of the gifts God gives you, then you will know the specific tasks God has set for you.” ~ Heinrich Emil Brunner WORSHIP ATTENDANCE, DEC. 31, 2015-JAN. 3, 2016 • New Year’s Eve: Highlands, 7 pm— 48 • Saturday, Jan. 2: Highlands, 5:30 pm—61 • Sunday, Jan. 3: Downtown, 8 am—99 • Sunday, Jan. 3: Highlands, 9:30 am—260; 11 am—102
