VACCINE BUSINESS UNIT For 70 years, Takeda has supplied vaccines to protect the health of people in Japan. Today, Takeda’s global vaccine business is applying innovation to tackle some of the world’s most challenging infectious diseases, such as dengue, norovirus, polio and most recently the Zika virus. Our team brings an outstanding track record and a wealth of knowledge in vaccine development, manufacturing and global access to advance a pipeline of vaccines that address some of the world’s most pressing public health needs.

TAKEDA PHARMACEUTICALS U.S.A., INC. (TPUSA) U.S. BUSINESS UNIT The U.S. Business Unit is Takeda’s largest outside of Japan, and continues to be a key contributor to our global growth and success. The U.S. Business Unit aspires to bring better health to people with some of the most serious unmet needs in gastroenterology (GI) and neuroscience, with a focus on marketing products for patients living with inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) and major depressive disorder. TPUSA and its subsidiary Takeda Pharmaceuticals America (TPA) are the U.S. commercial organizations of Takeda Pharmaceuticals Limited.

ONCOLOGY BUSINESS UNIT Takeda Oncology’s mission is not a quick or simple one, but we are up to the task: We aspire to cure cancer. Takeda's legacy in oncology extends more than 25 years and includes a range of paradigm-changing therapies for hematologic cancers and solid tumors. Our therapies span treatments for multiple types of cancer, particularly those that have not traditionally been the focus of oncology R&D. Takeda Oncology markets several products in the U.S. and internationally.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Takeda has refined its focus and R&D efforts to concentrate on developing innovative therapies in the following therapeutic areas: GI, neuroscience, oncology, and vaccines. Takeda embraces an externalization mindset and follows the best science to deliver therapies for our patients.
