Population we serve: 40+

Parking Parking passes are required if you wish to park on site at the Better Living Centre between 8:30am and 5:00pm. The parking lot is monitored on a frequent basis and those without a pass will be ticketed. Parking spaces are on a first come first serve basis and are not guaranteed.

If you are participating in a day trip, we encourage carpooling or off-site parking which minimizes the congestion. To park on site, parking passes are required.

PROgRAM CANCELLAtION POLICY

A minimum number of participants is required for each class to run. The Better Living Centre has the right to determine

the final outcome on program cancellations and revised fee structures up until 24 hours prior to the first class. If a

course does not meet the minimum enrollment, the program session may be cancelled.

Should the cancellation be a result of a Centre decision, you will have the option to transfer to another program, receive

a full refund, or receive a credit to your account.

WAITLIST

Program registration is based on a first come first serve system. In the event that a program reaches its full capacity, a wait-list option will be offered. Once a spot becomes available, participants on the wait-list will be contacted and given a 24 hour notice to respond before the next person on the wait-list is offered the available spot. If you are wait-listed for a class, please do not attend the class. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee enrollment.

CLIENt REFUND REQUESt1. All refunds requested must be approved and issued by

a Manager.

2. All refunds must be issued in person by a Manager to

same method of payment of purchase.

3. Refunds will be issued for any cancellation request

prior to the third scheduled class.

4. Refunds are subject to a 30 percent cancellation charge

of the total program fee.

5. Refunds will be pro-rated (in additional to the 30

percent cancellation charge) to reflect the number of

scheduled classes that have occurred by the date the

written request was received.

1. All credit notes can only be approved by the Centre

Manager.

2. Credit notes will be pro-rated to reflect the number

3. Credit notes do not expire. Credit notes are not

Living registered program, membership fees, trip,

FREE FITNESS AND FALLS PREVENTION GUIDELINES AND NOTES:

Our 12 week Falls Prevention Program is geared towards building a strong foundation while teaching preventive measures to help reduce the risk of falls. A Physiotherapist will conduct Initial and Post Assessments during the 12 week session to assess participant progress and determine if you are eligible to continue. Once you have completed the goals of the 12 week Falls Prevention program; you will be discharged and progress into our Fitness classes.

Our Fitness classes run ongoing, year round with occasional block weeks. Please inquire with the Community Fitness and Falls Prevention Coordinator to be advised which program is suitable for your level of fitness.

This group uses an instructed video designed specifically for those with Osteoporosis. It incorporates light weight bearing, sitting and standing exercises. Mondays & Thursdays, 10:15 a.m.-11:15 a.m.
