The Pearl Brewery is a great place to see the new Museum Reach section of the River Walk. Originally founded in
1883, the revitalized Pearl Brewery complex is a mixed-use development offering restaurants, shopping and residences. The Culinary Institute of America now makes its home here.
A leisurely roll through the opulent King William Historic
back through time. The 1876 home, the Steves Homestead Museum (pictured), is open to the public.
Alley and the City Cemetery District. The Hays St. Bridge
1880s, is now a pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly facility.
The City of San Antonio, Alamo Area MPO, Bexar County, TxDOT and other transportation partners are working to increase bike ridership for daily travel and to improve cycling safety by making our bike network accessible, direct and continuous. Bicycling is a convenient, simple and fun transportation option, and the Alamo Area is gaining more opportunities to get out and pedal! With its popular greenway network of paved off-road paths, a growing on-street network of bike lanes and routes throughout the city, and over 50 bike share stations along the San Antonio River and downtown core, there is something for every bicyclist in San Antonio!
GreenwaysThe City of San Antonio’s Howard W. Peak Greenway Trails System is an ever growing network of multi-use hike and bike trails that wind through natural landscapes along Salado Creek, Leon Creek and Medina River. There are currently 46 miles of developed greenway trails open to the public with about 40 additional miles of trail underway. Another popular greenway trail, the River Walk, follows the San Antonio River as it meanders through the heart the city. From its northern to southern limits, the River Walk is over 15 miles in length and connects to over 2,000 acres of public park land, making it one of the
walk your bike along certain trail segments. Please pay attention to directional signage as you travel the greenway system.

Road Markings
May Use Full Lane signs are intended for use where travel lanes are too narrow for bicyclists and motor vehicles to operate side by side in the same lane. However, the presence of a sign is not necessary for cyclists to use the full lane.
Sharrow is short-form for “shared lane bicycle markings”. This pavement marking includes a bicyclesymbol and two white chevrons and is to remind motorists that bicyclists are permitted to use the full lane. There are no striped bicycle lanes on streets marked with sharrows.
Street Signs
4 ft. or Greater Shoulder
