Coil Tubing BHA Impact Devices:Coil Tubing BHA Impact Devices:

Dual Acting Hydraulic Jarring Systems:- Jarring systems are commonly used to dislodgewell bore obstructions.

- Intensifiers used in conjunction with jars to maximize forces applied to fish.

- Functioned by reciprocating the CT work string.- Requires tension and compression loads downhole.

- Delivers both upward and downward impacts.- Passable ID’s- No flow required

Coil Tubing BHA Impact Devices:Coil Tubing BHA Impact Devices:

Impact Hammer Systems:- Impact hammers provide an alternative method of impacting lodged well bore obstructions.

- CT work string does not require reciprocation.- Flow is required. - Impacts are delivered at a high frequency, producing a “jack hammer” effect.

- ID’s are not passable.- Lower tension and compression loads requiredto function.

- Both upward and downward acting.
