Bhagwan Mahavir Education Foundation is a well known Trust established in 2002 with an objective toprovide Quality Education to the students of Gujarat and undertake all the activities for upliftment andjob oriented education. The foundation was registered on 24 Jan 2002 at SURAT.

ABOUT COLLEGE

Bhagwan Mahavir College of computer Application, Surat. Ahighly commendable private institute, occupies a placeamongst the technical institutes of the southern region ofGujarat. It is established in year 2008, financed and run bythe Bhagwan Mahavir College Foundation, Surat. It isaffiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. Thecollege is controlled by the executive board formed fromthe representatives of the Trust under constitution & bylaws of the college. The college campus is located at theopen green field areas with a beautiful location, situated atNew city light Road, Bharthana - Vesu, Surat.

The College has excelled itself in many fields. It hasoccupied a prominent place in the education sphere ofsouth Gujarat. The building surrounded by green fields andcontains spacious classrooms, well documented library, amultipurpose hall, modern computer lab, psychology laband science lab speaks well of the college. It has at present

around 500 students, 13 faculty members. The otherfacilities like canteen, large sports ground and indoorfacilities, a separate canteen adds attractions of theinstitute. The internet facilities, water and power facilities,communication (telephone) and transport facilities are alsoavailable. Modern Education tools, such as LCD & ScreenProjectors, Computers, Scanner, Printer etc. is purchased bythe institution.In academic or co-curricular activities, the students showtheir capabilities or talents in every field. The result of thecollege every year is at its best. The students haveparticipated in various inter-college and state levelcompetitions and won certificates.

The College also organizes seminars for third year students.In short the college is functioning excellent in all spheresand aims at producing good teacher who ultimately willbenefit the society and Nation at large.

Bachelor of ComputerApplications is a course that iscustomized for students wishingto shine in the field ofcomputing and informationtechnology. BCA is a three-yearfull-time University Programmein Computer Applicationresulting in the award ofBachelor’s Degree in ComputerApplication. The Programmeprepares you for a professionalcareer in Computing andInformation Technology. It givesyou an in-depth knowledge ofsoftware engineering,information systems andvarious programming languages

and their practical skills toapply this knowledge.

In this Programme, students areexposed to various areas ofcomputer applications includingthe latest developments keepingpace with the industry. BCAgraduates can start up theirprofessional career in eitherGovernment Sector or PrivateSector, since there are lots ofemployment opportunities inboth these sectors. This degreehelps the students to have aperfect launch pad forchallenging career in the field ofinformation technology.

The admissions to B.C.A course in this college isconducted by Centralized B.C.A Admission Committeeof Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.

The fee structure is as decided by the Veer NarmadSouth Gujarat University.

Medium of Instruction

Gujarati & English Medium students are allowed to getadmission in the college. English medium students areprovided English medium schools for their practice-teaching only.

The College is well equipped with IT infrastructure facilities including 3 computer labs with 60 Computers eachLab & AC, which total to 180computers internet access and secured Wi-Fi. The College has high-speed internetconnectivity with 20 Mbps internet speed with Fiber Optic as well as broadband VPN connections.There is CCTVs installed at important points. All necessary software packages are available for laboratories.The Computer Lab remain open for 6h hours a day, throughout week and with helpful consultants.
