What constitutes thesuccess in life are not mereaccumulation of wealth andfame. More healthy, the moreimportant factors are theemotional and spiritual quotientof the individual, according to SriArun Madhavan, the well-knowntheologian.
Delivering the Sri YadalamNanjaiah Setty Memorial lectureunder the auspices of Bhavan forthe Sai Grace Endowment on thesubject : “True Success: tips fromAncient Wisdom” on July 14, SriMadhavan reminded that thehappiest in the world are notthose who have no problems, butthose who learn to live with
FACTORS OF TRUE SUCCESSthings that are less than perfect. He said there were two ways oflooking at life, One is thinkingthat ‘I will be happy afterachieving a certain objective’.The other is ‘I am happy, comewhat may’!
Drawing on a major tip fromancient wisdom on the austeritiesof speech, he said when thoughts, words and deeds are in harmony, they reflect the true health of anindividual. He took the audiencethrough some breathing exercisesand chantings to demonstratehow phonetic vibrations from‘mantram’ help brain wavesdown to meditative alpha (8-13Hz) and theta (4-7 Hz)frequencies.
