Asphalt paving for Airport, Taxiways, Runways and HighwaysBHM is a specialist in asphalt manufacture andapplication;thisisthefoundationofourbusiness.

We are highly skilled in producing a high qualityproductindifficultenvironmentswhere equipment, materials and a skilled workforce is not easily found.

Rural roads surface dressingWe recognise the vital importance rural roads haveinconnectingcommunities.Wealsorecognise that these lower volume roads do not necessarily require Hot Rolled Asphalt Pavements. It is for this reason we have developed a tailor made surface dressing solutionofferingahighqualityproductbutforlower costs.

Aggregate and Asphalt production and testingWe have purpose built test laboratories which are fully accredited to AASHTO, ASTM, BS and otherinternationalstandardsforsamplingandtestingofsoils,aggregates,concreteandasphalt. BHM also has its own experienced Asphalt teams to supply and lay products on roads,airfieldsandportswithmodernwellmaintained asphalt pavers, rollers and where required mobile asphalt mixing plants for on-siteproductionandqualitycontrol.

We are committed to being an industry leader in the design and manufacture of asphalt. With our in-house quality management system and independentqualitytesting,ourclientscanbeconfidentofreceivingthehighestqualityasphaltproductatalltimes.

Airports and RunwaysAirport infrastructure works are a core part of our business and our teams are experienced in providing the engineering skills and technologies necessary to deliver both airside andlandsidesupportfacilities.Weworkclosely with airport operators, owners and carriers – as well as with the general public. BHM understand the need for maximum safety and security within ‘live’ environments.

Onamorepracticalfront,ourseniorleadershipincludingGroupChiefExecutiveandManagingDirectorInternationalareChartered Civil Engineers, and have not spent their careers in ivory towers but in thefieldamongstthestaffandcustomers,gettinginvolvedasandwhenneeded.Ourexecutiveleadershipteamhasover150yearsexperienceinconstructionbetweenthem; this depth of experience ranges from buildingmajorinternationalprojects,throughtomanaginginternationalmultidisciplinaryconsultingengineeringcompanies.

With all of this we bring not only a value driven Company from the top, but a wealth of diverse experience in delivering major and technically complex civil engineering projects across the world.

David has worked as a Civil Engineer forover25yearsdeliveringmajor

projectsinternationally.Davidhasheldinstrumentalroles on projects such as Kotoka Airport development Ghana,RutileminedevelopmentSierraLeoneandUsama Dam water treatment project Nigeria.

Brian has been the technical principalfortheCompanyfor13years;hehasmorethan40years

experience employed with a number of internationalcontractors andconsultingengineers.He has led on technical delivery on numerous major projects across the globe.

Darius Sarosh Non-executiveDirector

Dariuswasaformerexecutiveboardmember of both Mowlem and McAlpine.Dariushasover40years

experienceissettingupanddevelopinginternational businesses. Darius is also Chairman of his family charity ‘ersf.org.uk’ which specialises in helping educate people in the poorest areas of Africa and India.

Chester Wilson Chief Land Surveyor

Chester is a very experienced Land Surveyor specialising in major engineering surveying.

He has extensive knowledge of surveying throughout the Caribbean and has been with BHMforthepast7yearsmanagingourvarioussurvey teams, which use the latest technology withGPSinstrumentation.

bitumenproduction,aragoniteminingaswellasmarine,commercialandresidentialrealestate in the USA, Europe and the Caribbean.

Peter Andrews Vice-Chairman

Peter has been a Director of the Company since1984;

his other interests include ready mix concrete, waste management along withhaulageandaviation.

Ebbe Saidi Managing Director CEng. MICE. PE

EbbejoinedBHMin2000; a Chartered Engineer with over

24years’experienceinthecivilconstructionindustry including marine, airport and major highways. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and General Contractor in the Bahamas.

predominantly in Real Estate. He has recently been appointed a Director of Focol Holdings Ltd, a petroleum company and is a long standing member of the Board of Trustees of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards and the CounciloftheBahamasNationalTrust.

FromtheearlydaysoftheformationoftheCompany, a key client to this day has been the Government of the Bahamas. The works have included major infrastructure projects, improvement and maintenance of roads and other infrastructure.

Our second category of clients is private companies. These private companies, as well aslookingforacompetitiveprice,requireinnovationtosolveissuesandmitigaterisks.We have also recently entered into dialogue with several clients to embark on early contractor involvement to minimise risk of delays in design, procurement and other issues in order to deliver cost certainty and earlycompletion.
