BIAW Announces 2017 Excellence in Remodeling Award Winners
The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) is proud to announce its 2017 Excellence
in Remodeling (EIR) Award winners. The EIR awards program recognizes outstanding remodeling
projects throughout the state. Categories included residential exterior remodels, kitchen and bath
updates, additions, historic renovations, aging in place upgrades, and entire home transformations,
among others. In addition to the winners, seven honorable mentions were awarded. This year,
participants from home builders associations in Eastern and Western Washington submitted 49
entries in 20 categories.
A judging panel painstakingly reviewed each project before making their selections, making sure
they met a set list of high criteria. Some winners were recognized in multiple categories.
The awards were handed out during EIR’s annual reception on June 28 at BIAW’s Summer Board
meeting in Spokane. BIAW’s EIR awards are an annual opportunity for members to gain
professional recognition for their outstanding work for clients during the year. The awards are open
to all BIAW members who have completed a project that meets the requirements of an award
category. See below for a list of EIR categories and 2017 winners.
