BIBLE AND THE DESTRUCTION OF THE STATE OF ISRAEL by Waqar Akbar Cheema Many Muslims have a question that when the Jews, as described in the Quran and even Bible, were and even now are so much rebellious to God then why are they prospering today specially when we see this in the context of the creation of the State of Israel. So lets try to understand this phenomena in the light of the Old Testament— the premise of the Jewish Faith. Following are the verses 10-18, chapter 16 of the Book of Jeremiah. These verses describe the rebellious attitude of the Jewish people, their Diaspora and then the purpose of their gathering in the Promised Land i.e. Palestine. {16:10} And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what [is] our iniquity? or what [is] our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God? {16:11} Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; {16:12} And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me: {16:13} Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, [neither] ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour. {16:14} Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; {16:15} But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers. {16:16} Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. {16:17} For mine eyes [are] upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.

BIBLE AND THE DESTRUCTION OF THE

STATE OF ISRAEL

by Waqar Akbar Cheema

Many Muslims have a question that when the Jews, as described in the Quran and

even Bible, were and even now are so much rebellious to God then why are they

prospering today specially when we see this in the context of the creation of the State

of Israel. So lets try to understand this phenomena in the light of the Old Testament—

the premise of the Jewish Faith.

Following are the verses 10-18, chapter 16 of the Book of Jeremiah. These verses

describe the rebellious attitude of the Jewish people, their Diaspora and then the

purpose of their gathering in the Promised Land i.e. Palestine.

{16:10} And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these

words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all

this great evil against us? or what [is] our iniquity? or what [is] our sin that we

have committed against the LORD our God?

{16:11} Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me,

saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and

have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

{16:12} And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every

one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:

{16:13} Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not,

[neither] ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night;

where I will not shew you favour.

{16:14} Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more

be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land

of Egypt;

{16:15} But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the

land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will

bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

{16:16} Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish

them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from

every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.

{16:17} For mine eyes [are] upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face,

neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.

{16:18} And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because

they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcasses

of their detestable and abominable things.”

(The Bible, Jeremiah 16:10-18)

1-In the verse 11 above it is stated that Jews have taken other gods besides the only

true God. One may say that Jews are Monotheists and they do not attribute any

partners to God. But the fact is that they follow their Rabbis and Priests even when

they make the unlawful things lawful and vice versa, and they thus attribute partners

to God because declaring what is lawful and what is not is only God’s discretion.

Thus their Rabbis are their gods and lords that they take besides the One True God.

2-In the verse 13 is described the Jewish Diaspora when God because of their

rebellious attitude made the Jews to disperse in the lands they had never known before

i.e. Europe, Russia, India, Africa (Kenya, Ethiopia etc) & even the Americas.

3-In the verse 15 is described the coming back of Jews from the ‘land of the north and

from all the lands whither he had driven them’. Interestingly, Europe, Russia & the

America from where most of the Israelis came are –broadly speaking- in the north of

Israel, ‘the land that I (God) gave unto their fathers’.

4-And the most important is the verse 16 wherein is described the true reason as to

why is God-the Disposer of All-Affairs- making the Jews to gather in the Holy Land

of Palestine. The verse says; ‘I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they

shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from

every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks’.

Consider this and recall the Palestinian Uprisings (Intifada & Intaqaza), Hezbollah’s

heroics against Israel in July-Aug. 2006 and the vows of the disgruntled Muslim

youth to liberate the Holy Land of Palestine from illegitimate Zionist state.

So here Bible explicitly says that Creation of the state of Israel and the gathering of

the Jews in Israel is only a part of the God’s Grand Design to punish the most

rebellious and arrogant of all the nations.

It is also striking to note that at least thirty thousand American Jews do not recognize

Israel because they are aware of the ‘Bible Truth’.

We the Muslims want to live in peace with all the nations of the world but when

someone attacks us and drives our brothers & sisters out of their homeland then it is

not acceptable for us at any cost.

Our clash is not with the ordinary Jewish people but only the Zionists- the spiritual

pupils of Theodre Herzl, who are all out to destroy Islam and Muslims.
