Genesis 1:1 (NIV)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.

Genesis 4

Genesis 4:6-7 (NIV)

Then the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.

Genesis 4:9 (NIV)

Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?"

Genesis 4:26 (NIV)

At that time men began to call on the name of the Lord.

Noah

The Flood

Genesis 6:5 (NIV)

The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

The Lord was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.

So the Lord said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth."

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.

Everything on earth will perish. But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark.

Genesis 8:21 (NIV)

The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood.

Genesis 9:11 (NIV)

“I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."

The Flood Covenant

• It is unconditional

• It is everlasting

• Sign = Rainbow

Final Thoughts

• A loving God is watching His creation choose evil• The Hope of Creation

save His creation
