God’s Word 3rd He

reinterpreted God’s Word HIS APPROACH

WAS RELIGION!

Page 6: Biblical Church History

So while tracing Church History

we must be looking for Men, Movements and Institutions that

areto bring doubt, to change, and to reinterpret

the Word of God

Page 7: Biblical Church History

I. Do we really

have the Word of

God!

THE AVERAGE STATEMENT OF FAITH BY THE

FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES AND BIBLE COLLEGES IN

AMERICA TODAY We teach that the Bible is God’s written revelation of God, and thus the sixty-six

book of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the plenary (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God. We teach that the Word of God is

an objective, propositional revelation, verbally inspired

in every word, absolutely inerrant in the original

manuscripts, infallible and God-breathed.

Page 9: Biblical Church History

1. If the Bible was only inspired in the

Originals, then where are the originals ?

2. If we don’t have the originals then is what

we are reading not inspired

Page 10: Biblical Church History

3. If the Bible was only inspired in the

Originals, and the originals are no more. Then why would God

not keep them for us ?

Page 11: Biblical Church History

(2Ti 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of

God, and is profitable for

doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for

instruction in righteousness:

Page 12: Biblical Church History

(2Ti 3:15) And that from a child thou hast known the

holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation

through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

(Act 17:10-11) And the brethren immediately sent

away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming

thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in

Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all

readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things

were so.

II. Did God ever

intend for us to have

an inspired, infallible inerrant Word in

our Hands?

Page 17: Biblical Church History

A. The Bible

Answer

Page 18: Biblical Church History

(Neh 9:5)… Stand up and bless the LORD your God for ever

and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is

exalted above all blessing and praise.

(Act 4:12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for

there is none other name under heaven given

among men, whereby we must be saved.

Page 19: Biblical Church History

(Php 2:9-11) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him,

and given him a name which is above every

name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should

bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that

every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the

Father.

Page 20: Biblical Church History

(Psa 138:2) I will worship toward thy holy temple, and

praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and

for thy truth: for thou hast

magnified thy word above all

thy name.

B. The Word

Incarnated

Page 22: Biblical Church History

(Joh 1:1) In the beginning was the

Word, and the Word was with God, and the

Word was God.(Joh 1:14) And the Word was made flesh, and

dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and

truth.

Page 23: Biblical Church History

(Psa 16:10) For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see

corruption.(Act 13:36-37) For David, after

he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his

fathers, and saw corruption: But he, whom God raised again,

saw no corruption.

Page 24: Biblical Church History

(Psa 12:6-7) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver

tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep

them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this

generation for ever.(Luk 21:33) Heaven and

earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass

away.

Page 25: Biblical Church History

(1Pe 1:23-25) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the

word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all

flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth,

and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the

Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Page 26: Biblical Church History

(Psa 119:160) Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for

ever.(Isa 40:8) The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.(Joh 10:35) If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture

cannot be broken;

Page 27: Biblical Church History

Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my

words, hath one that judgeth him: the

word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in

the last day.

THE AVERAGE CHRISTIAN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION “WHERE IS THE INSPIRED,

INERRANT INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD TODAY?” “The Word of God has

been preserved in the original languages, but it is impossible for you to

have a those actual literal inspired words in

English… because in translating from one

language to another it is impossible to have a

word for word translation.”

unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants,

TRANSLATING PAUL AND LUKE (Act 21:39-40) But Paul said, I am

a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean

city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people. And

when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and

beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was

made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew

tongue, saying,

TRANSLATING DANIEL AND NEBUCHADNEZZAR

(Dan 2:26-27) The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof? Daniel answered in the

presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath

demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the

soothsayers, shew unto the king;

(2Pe 1:20-21) Knowing this first, that no

prophecy of the scripture is of any private

interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of

God spake as they were moved by the Holy

Ghost.

CHRISTIAN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION “WHERE IS THE

INSPIRED, INERRANT INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD

TODAY?” The Actual Words of God are Preserved in

Heaven (Psa 119:89) For ever, O LORD,

thy word is settled in heaven.

Page 42: Biblical Church History

(Mat 4:4) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall

not live by bread alone, but by every

word that proceedeth out of the mouth of

God.
