Since 1954, The European Federation for Precast Concrete (BIBM) is organizingevery three years the BIBM Congress that takes place in different locations. The 22nd edition of the BIBM Congress will take place from May 17-19, 2017 inMadrid, Spain, and it is expected that more than 600 precast concrete industryleaders will participate in this event. BIBM Congresses are a unique meetingplace for the precast industry, bringing clients, customers, producers, suppliers, politicians and academics together to inform about recent developments and the future of precast concrete.
Madrid with its International Barajas Airport is easy to reach for participantscoming from everywhere in the world. Since typically ¾ of the participantsare coming from abroad, connectivity of the venue is quite important forthe positive outcome of the congress. Madrid is a very attractive city, notonly as location for an international congress, but also for an extensivesight-seeing program that will be offered during the congress, too.

The BIBM Congress 2017 will be organized at the same time and in the same venue like the Annual Conference of
IPHA, the International Prestressed Hollowcore Association. IPHA Conferences are usually attended by 50-70 interna tional
manufacturers and suppliers who are looking forward to meeting BIBM attendees again next year in Spain.

y proveedores internacionales, que esperan con entusiasmo reunirse una vez más con los asistentes al congreso BIBM
del próximo año en España.

Desde 1954, la Federación Europea de Prefabricados de Hormigón (BIBM) organiza cada tres años el congreso BIBM, que tiene lugar en diferentes ciudades.La 22.ª edición del congreso BIBM tendrá lugar del 17 al 19 de mayo de 2017 en Madrid (España), y se espera que al evento acudan más de 600 líderes de la industria de prefabricados de hormigón. Los congresos BIBM son un lugar de encuentro único para la industria de los prefabricados, en donde se reúnenclientes, compradores, productores, proveedores, políticos y académicos para informarse sobre los últimos desarrollos y el futuro del hormigón prefabricado.Madrid, con su aeropuerto internacional de Barajas, dispone de un fácil ac-ceso para los participantes procedentes de cualquier parte del mundo. Comolo habitual es que tres cuartas partes de los participantes acudan del extran-jero, las posibilidades de conexión del lugar son muy importantes para elresultado positivo del congreso. Madrid es una ciudad muy atractiva, nosolo como sede de un congreso internacional, sino también para el am-plio programa de visitas culturales que se ofrecerá durante el congreso.

The international trade exhibition with more than 80 exhibitors will be very attractive for the participants.Con más de 80 expositores, la exposición internacional será muy atractiva para los participantes.
Status on 9th January 2017
The route starts by bus at the Hotel with a guide explaining all areas of Madrid and the history of the city. The main views that the bus will driveare: Puerta de Alcalá, Cibeles Fountain (Real Madrid Celebrations place),Gran Vía Street, Plaza de España and a short stop in one of the emble-matic places like Debod Temple to take a photo. The bus will continue toPlaza de Oriente and the tour will continue from there (walking) to seethe Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral and the Opera. The route willcontinue with tasting tapas and wine in a nice and traditional bar ofMadrid. After those tapas the tour will continue to go to Mercado deSan Miguel and to Plaza Mayor, and finally return by bus to the Hotel.
In case of bad weather conditions, the city tour will extended by bus to make sure that the participants
will see and learn about the sights without being exposed to rain. Inside the Royal Palace the visitors
will receive an extended tour before having the tapas lunch.After the lunch, there will betransportation provided to go
to the Mercado de San Miguel (covered market) before the group will return to the hotel.

La ruta se inicia en autobús desde el Hotel y un guía que explicará todaslas zonas y la historia de la ciudad de Madrid. El autobús recorrerá losprincipales puntos de interés: Puerta de Alcalá, Fuente de Cibeles (plaza de celebración del Real Madrid), Gran Vía, Plaza de España, haciendo una breve parada para tomar una foto en el Templo deDebod, uno de los lugares más emblemáticos. El autobús se dirigiráentonces a la Plaza de Oriente y desde allí la visita continuará a piepara visitar el Palacio Real, la Catedral de la Almudena y la Ópera. La ruta continúa hasta un bonito y tradicional bar madrileño, donde se podrán degustar deliciosas tapas y vinos españoles. Después deestas tapas, la visita continuará hasta el Mercado de San Miguel y la Plaza Mayor, para volver finalmente en autobús al Hotel.
En caso de mal tiempo, la visita por la ciudad se hará en autobús para que los participantes puedan ver
e informarse sobre los lugares de interés sin estar expues-tos a la lluvia. Los visitantes realizarán una visita guiada
ampliada del interior del Palacio Real antes de disfrutar delas deliciosas tapas. Tras la comida se pondrá a disposición
un transporte para ir al Mercado de San Miguel (mercado cubierto) antes de volver al hotel.

In 1790 and on the ruins of a castle named “De Negrales”, in anestate on the banks of the Jarama River, a noble family built acountry palace. The name of such beautiful palace comes fromthe woods where it was located, locals tell. A pine forest of theones called “Negrales” in Castilla with dark trunks and high treetops. Until 1980 the estate was devoted to agriculture and itwas in 1986 when El Palacio del Negralejo initiated its currentjourney. Full of hopeful excitement the estate owners Mrs. Laura Satrustegui Figueroa and Mr. Javier Acha Valledecided to join the Palace and the estate with their otherpassion: Gastronomy; meticulously caring to keep the essence of the place they inherited.
En el año 1.790, sobre las ruinas de un castillo llamado “de Negrales”, enuna finca a las orillas del río Jarama y cercana a Madrid, una noble familia
construyó su palacio de campo. Cuentan los lugareños que el nombre leviene a este hermoso palacio del bosque donde se ubicó. Un bosque de
pinos de los llamados en Castilla “Negrales”, de copa muy alta y troncos oscuros. La finca estuvo dedicada a la agricultura hasta el año 1.980. Y fue
en el año 1986 cuando El Palacio del Negralejo empezó su actual andadura.Doña Laura Satrustegui Figueroa y Don Javier Acha Valle, propietarios de la
misma, con muchísima ilusión decidieron unir El Palacio y la finca con su otragran pasión, la gastronomía. Preocupándose especialmente de mantener la
esencia del lugar que habían heredado.

The group will leave the Hotel in the morning to drive to the Prado Museum. The building that today houses theMuseo Nacional del Prado was designed by architect Juan de Villanueva in 1785. It was constructed to house the Natural History Cabinet, by orders of King Charles III. The Museum’s first catalogue, published in 1819, included 311 paintings, although at that time ist collection comprised just over 1,510 pictures from the variousReales Sitios (Royal Residences). The exceptionally important royal collection, which represents the foundationof the Museum’s collection as we know it today, started to increase significantly in the 16th century during the time of Charles V and continued to thrive under the succeeding Habsburg and Bourbon Monarchs. Nowadays the guests can contemplate in the Museum as greates masterpieces as „The Garen of EarthlyDelights“ by Bosh, „The Nobleman“ with his hand in his chest by El Greco, „Death of the Virgin“ by Mantegna, „The Holy Family known as The Pearl“ by Raphael, „Emporer Carlos V on Horseback“ by Titian, The „Foot Washing“ by Tintoretto, „Self-portrait“ by Durër, „Las Meninas“ by Velásquez, „The Three Graces“ by Rubens, and „The Family of Carlos IV“ by Goya. The group will have Tapas lunch in a famous restaurant and then return to the hotel by bus.

El grupo dejará el hotel por la mañana para ir al Museo del Prado. El edificio que hoy alberga el Museo Nacional del Prado fuediseñado por el arquitecto Juan de Villanueva en 1785. Fue construido para albergar el Gabinete de Historia Natural, por ordendel Rey Carlos III. El primer catálogo del Museo, publicado en 1819, incluía 311 pinturas, aunque su colección comprendíaalgo más de 1510 cuadros de los distintos Reales Sitios. La colección real, de excepcional importancia, que representa labase de la colección del museo como la conocemos actualmente, comenzó a aumentar significativamente en el siglo XVI durante la época de Carlos V y continuó prosperando bajo los Reyes de Habsburgo y de Borbón. Hoy en día los visitantespueden contemplar en el Museo impresionantes obras maestras como «El jardín de las delicias» de Bosh, «El caballero de la mano en el pecho» de El Greco, «El Tránsito de la Virgen» de Mantegna, «Sagrada Familia, llamada la Perla» de Rafael,«El emperador Carlos V, a caballo» de Tiziano, «El lavatorio» de Tintoretto, «Autorretrato» de Durero, «Las Meninas» de Velázquez, «Las Tres Gracias» de Rubens, y «La familia de Carlos IV» de Goya. El grupo podrá degustar tapas en un famoso restaurante y luego volverá al hotel en autobús.
