The Broadway in Detroit series centered at the Fisher Theatre is one of the region’s top cultural attractions—and the new 50th anniversary season is turning out to be one of the hottest ever.

Our season is already underway, but you can still reach more than 250,000 guests attending our remaining eight great shows. When you advertise in the Broadway in Detroit program, your business is front row center every single night!

Safety margins: Live matter must be a minimum of 1/4" (.25”) from gutter and all trimmed edges.

Digital Specifications The Broadway in Detroit program is assembled digital direct-to-plate. Film negatives are not accepted.

Assembly Guidelines Ad should be created at 100% of final print size. Properly prepared PDF files are preferred. When distilling Post Script files be sure all fonts are embedded and set your Distiller job options to the “Press” setting. PDF files saved directly from InDesign should also use the “Press Quality” job option. We also accept files created on the Apple Macintosh platform Adobe InDesign 7.0 (CS5) or earlier. Include all font (screen & printer) files used in layouts and convert fonts used in graphics to paths. EPS & TIFF are the acceptable graphic file formats. Flatten layers and discard any extra channels or paths. Do not compress files with LZW TIFF, JPEG, or JPEG encoded EPS. All graphics should be saved as CMYK.

Mechanical Guidelines The Broadway in Detroit program prints at 150 lpi; halftone resolution should be a minimum 300 dpi. Linework should be set to a minimum of 1200 dpi. On full page or full page spread ads, pull all bleeds a minimum of 1/8" (.125”) from document edge. TAC (Total Area Coverage) not to exceed 300%. Unless special ordering an additional color, all spot or Pantone specified colors should be converted to process (CMYK) color. Files that do not follow these guidelines will be returned for correction. No exceptions.

Required Proofs & Other Media Proofs and other media should be shipped directly to Frank Bach, Bach & Associates, 224 Lakewood, Detroit, MI 48215, telephone 313-822-4303, e-mail [email protected]. Examples of acceptable contract proofs include: Kodak Approval, Iris 2/4-print inkjets, Fuji Pictroproof as well as 3M Digital Matchprints. If acceptable proof is not provided, color consistency will not be guaranteed.
