Big Blue Barns • When I first get to Historic
St. Mary’s City, I may see a
few big blue barns and the
parking lot.
• One of these barns is the
Visitor Center.
• I may go to the Visitor Center
to get a ticket.
Visitor Center • This is the Visitor Center,
which is inside one of the big
blue barns.
• There is a desk in front, and I
may go there to get my ticket
and a map.
Visitor Center • The ticket is a sticker that I
can stick on my clothes.
Visitor Center Artifacts • The Visitor Center also has
some artifacts.
• Artifacts are objects from
history that provide clues
about the past.
Visitor Center Artifacts • I may look at at these items,
read about them, and watch
a video about them and the
museum in the Visitor Center.
Places to Rest • There are picnic tables
outside of the Visitor Center
where I may sit and rest or
eat.
Places to Rest • There is a water fountain
shaped like a barrel near one
of the other blue barns, and I
may get a drink here.
Places to Rest • The Visitor Center is quieter
than the outdoors, and I may
rest here for a few minutes.
For Help • If I need help or have a
question, I can either tell my
guardian I need help or go
into the Visitor Center and
ask for help from the people
inside.
