UVODNIK

Spoštovani bralci Biltena, dragi ljubitelji slovenskih poštnih znamk,

po dolgem, vročem poletju vas prijazno pozdravljam z novo izdajo Biltena in seveda z novimi slovenskimi poštnimi znamkami.

Najprej vas želim spomniti, da je tudi letos julija izšla znamka iz serije Euromed Postal, tokrat na temo dreves Sredozemlja. Na slovenski znamki, ki je v Biltenu predstavljena prva, tako predstavljamo navadno jagodičnico.

Od 10. avgusta je na prodaj tudi nov tematski komplet, posvečen 300. obletnici rojstva Marije Terezije. Komplet vsebuje vseh pet znamk držav, ki so sodelovale v skupni izdaji znamke.

S 4. avgustom 2017 veljajo nove cene univerzalne poštne storitve v notranjem poštnem prometu. Cena znamke z nominalo A je tako 0,40 EUR (prej 0,37 EUR), za znamko z nominalo B pa boste odšteli 0,48 EUR (prej 0,45 EUR).

Tudi tokratni septembrski izid znamk je zelo pester in bogat: iskreno vabljeni, da se sprehodite skozi najnovejše slovenske poštne znamke.

Sehr geehrte Bulletin-Leser und Liebhaber slowenischer Briefmarken,

nach einem langen, heißen Sommer begrüße ich Sie herzlich zu einer neuen Bulletin-Ausgabe, natürlich mit den neuesten slowenischen Briefmarken.

Zuerst möchte ich Sie daran erinnern, dass in diesem Juli eine Briefmarke in der Reihe Euromed Postal erschienen ist, diesmal zum Thema Bäume des Mittelmeerraumes. Auf der slowenischen Briefmarke, die im Bulletin als Erste vorgestellt wird, ist der Westliche Erdbeerbaum abgebildet.

Seit dem 10. August ist auch ein neues Themenset erhältlich, das dem 300. Geburtstag der Kaiserin Maria Theresia gewidmet ist. Das Set enthält alle fünf Briefmarken der Länder, die bei der gemeinsamen Briefmarkenausgabe mitgewirkt haben.

Seit dem 4. August 2017 gelten neue Preise von universellen Postdienstleistungen im slowenischen Inlandspostverkehr. Der Preis der Briefmarke mit dem Nennwert A beträgt nun 0,40 € (zuvor 0,37 €), für eine Briefmarke mit dem Nennwert B werden Sie nun 0,48 € (zuvor 0,45 €) bezahlen.

Auch die diesjährige Septemberausgabe der Briefmarken ist vielfältig und abwechslungsreich. Viel Spaß beim Lesen des Bulletins und beim Kennenlernen der neuesten slowenischen Briefmarken.

Dear Bulletin readers and Slovene postage stamp enthusiasts,

After a long, hot summer I bid you a warm welcome with a new issue of our Bulletin and, of course, new Slovene postage stamps.

Let me first of all remind you that a new stamp in the Euromed Postal series was issued in July, this time on the theme of Trees of the Mediterranean. Slovenia's stamp, presented first in the Bulletin, features the strawberry tree.

A new thematic set dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Maria Theresa has been on sale since 10 August. The set includes all five stamps of the countries that took part in the joint stamp issue.

New prices of universal postal services for domestic mail come into force on 4 August 2017. The price of the A-rate stamp rises to €0.40 (previously €0.37), while the B-rate stamp will now cost €0.48 (previously €0.45).

This year's September stamp issue is once again very rich and varied: you are cordially invited to browse the latest postage stamps from Slovenia.

Navadna jagodičnica (Arbutus unedo L.)

V slovenski flori do tedaj neznano, v toplejših delih Sredozemlja pa pogostejšo vednozeleno drevesno vrsto, so pri nas v naravi prvič našli šele leta 1971 na robu rta Ronek nad Zalivom sv. Križa pri Strunjanu. Nahajališče je še danes edino znano v Sloveniji in najsevernejše na vzhodni jadranski obali.

Majhno populacijo, ki se je tam morda naselila šele v poledenodobnem obdobju in danes raste na robu svojega naravnega areala, upravičeno obravnavamo kot ogroženo. Jagodičnico vse leto prepoznamo po vednozelenih listih, pozno jeseni pa po istočasnem cvetenju belkastih vrčastih cvetov in zorenju jagodam podobnih plodov z bradavičasto površino. Mnogi jo imajo za najlepšo rastlino sredozemske makije, zaradi česar jo sadijo tudi za okras.

Je pionirska vrsta s pomembno varovalno vlogo, saj po požaru ali po tem, ko smo rastlino posekali, iz panja in korenin spet poženejo novi poganjki. Užitni plodovi so sladko kiselkasti, bogati z vitaminom C in prav prijetnega okusa, vendar lahko večje količine povzročijo rahlo omotico. To naj bi povzročal sladkor, ki se delno spreminja v alkohol manitol. Na lastnost opozarja izraz unedo, ki prihaja iz Plinijevega izraza »unum tantum edo«, kar pomeni »pojej samo enega«.

Strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo L.)

Previously unknown in the flora of Slovenia, though relatively common in the warmer parts of the Mediterranean, this evergreen tree or shrub was first found in the wild in Slovenia in 1971, on the edge of Cape Ronek above Sveti Križ Bay near Strunjan. This is still its only known location in Slovenia and its northernmost habitat on the eastern shore of the Adriatic.

The small population, which may not have colonised this area until after the last Ice Age and today grows at the very edge of the natural distribution of the species, is rightly considered endangered. The strawberry tree may be recognised throughout the year by its evergreen leaves and, in late autumn, by the simultaneous flowering of whitish, bell-shaped flowers and ripening of strawberry-like fruit with a rough, stippled surface. Many people consider it the most beautiful example of Mediterranean "maquis" vegetation and it is sometimes planted as an ornamental plant.

It is a pioneer species with an important protective role, since after a fire or after a plant has been felled, new shoots sprout from the stump and roots. Its edible fruit have a sweet and moderately sour flavour. They are rich in vitamin C and have a pleasant taste, although eating too many of them can cause slight dizziness. This is said to be caused by sugar that is partly converted to manitol, a type of sugar alcohol. This quality is hinted at by the name "unedo", attributed to Pliny the Elder, who allegedly claimed "unum tantum edo" or "I eat only one".

Westlicher Erdbeerbaum (Arbutus unedo L.)

Die in der slowenischen Flora bis dahin unbekannte, in wärmeren Teilen des Mittelmeeres jedoch häufig auftretende immergrüne Baumart wurde im slowenischen Raum erst im Jahr 1971 am Rand des Kaps Ronek oberhalb der Bucht Sv. Križ bei Strunjan erstmals in der Natur entdeckt. Der Standort ist noch heute das einzige bekannte Vorkommen der Pflanze in Slowenien und der nördlichste an der östlichen Adriaküste.

Die kleine Population, die sich dort wahrscheinlich erst nach der Eiszeit ansiedelte und heute am Rande ihres natürlichen Areals gedeiht, kann zu Recht als gefährdet bezeichnet werden. Der Erdbeerbaum ist das ganze Jahr über an seinen immergrünen Blättern sowie im Spätherbst an seinen weißlichen glockenförmigen Blüten und gleichzeitig reifenden erdbeerähnlichen Früchten mit warzenartiger Oberfläche zu erkennen. Für viele ist es die schönste Pflanze der mediterranen Macchia und wird auch als Zierstrauch gepflanzt.

Der Erdbeerbaum ist eine Pionierpflanze mit bedeutender Schutzfunktion, da nach einem Brand oder nach dem Abholzen aus dem Stumpf und den Wurzeln wieder neue Triebe sprießen. Die genießbaren Früchte sind süßsauer, reich an Vitamin C und haben einen angenehmen Geschmack. Eine große Menge kann jedoch leichte Schwindelanfälle verursachen. Das soll am Zucker liegen, der sich teilweise in den Zuckeralkohol Mannitol umwandelt. Diese Eigenschaft kennzeichnet auch die Bezeichnung unedo, die vom Zitat von Plinius dem Älteren „unum tantum edo“ stammt, das „iss nur eine (Frucht)“ bedeutet.

Letos mineva 500 let od začetka reformacije (31. 10. 1517), ki je pomembno zaznamovala tako evropski kot slovenski prostor. Primož Trubar, Jurij Dalmatin, Adam Bohorič in drugi slovenski protestantski pisci so na Slovenskem sledili poti, ki jo je utrl Martin Luter.

Rezultat je bil osupljiv. V 16. stoletju je v slabega pol stoletja nastalo nad petdeset knjižnih del v slovenskem jeziku. Med njimi je najpomembnejši prevod Biblije Jurija Dalmatina (1584), ki so ga zaradi kakovosti uporabljali tudi v naslednjih stoletjih. Jezik tega prevoda je zato postal osnova slovenskega knjižnega jezika. Slovnica Adama Bohoriča (1584) in slovarja Hieronima Megiserja (1592, 1603) so neposredno zaznamovali slovenski jezik vse do srede 18. stoletja, posredno pa še dlje. Primož Trubar je vzpostavil slovenski knjižni jezik (1550) in začrtal vizijo šolskega in kulturnega razvoja, ki se sicer ni v celoti uresničila, vendar hkrati med Slovenci ni nikoli zamrla. Vzpostavilo se je tudi zavedanje o slovenskem jeziku kot povezovalnem elementu Slovencev.

500th Anniversary of the Start of the Reformation

This year marks the 500th Anniversary of the Start of the Reformation (usually considered to have begun on 31 October 1517), a movement that left a significant mark on the whole of Europe, including Slovenia. Primož Trubar, Jurij Dalmatin, Adam Bohorič and other Slovene Protestant writers followed the trail blazed by Martin Luther.

The results were astonishing. In the space of less than half a century, more than 50 literary works were published in the Slovene language. Among the most important of them is Dalmatin's translation of the Bible (1584), which was of such quality that it continued to be used in the centuries that followed. The language of this translation became the basis of standard literary Slovene. Adam Bohorič's grammar (1584) and the two dictionaries by Hieronymus Megiser (1592, 1603) exercised a direct influence on the Slovene language right up until the mid-eighteenth century and continued to influence it indirectly for even longer. Primož Trubar established standard literary Slovene with the publication of two significant works in 1550. He also set out a vision of education and cultural development which, though never fully realised, has never completely died out among Slovenes. An awareness was also established of the role of the Slovene language as a connecting element among Slovenes.

500 Jahre Reformation

In diesem Jahr sind 500 Jahre seit Beginn der Reformation (31.10.1517) vergangen, die sowohl den europäischen als auch den slowenischen Raum auf bedeutende Weise geprägt hat. Primus Trubar, Jurij Dalmatin, Adam Bohorič und andere slowenische protestantische Schriftsteller folgten im slowenischen Raum dem von Martin Luther eingeschlagenen Weg.

Und das mit erstaunlichem Ergebnis. Im 16. Jahrhundert entstanden in knapp einem halben Jahrhundert über 50 literarische Werke in slowenischer Sprache. Das wichtigste Werk ist die Übersetzung der Bibel von Jurij Dalmatin (1584), die aufgrund ihrer herausragenden Qualität auch in den folgenden Jahrhunderten verwendet wurde. Die Sprache dieser Übersetzung wurde zur Grundlage der slowenischen Schriftsprache. Die Grammatik von Adam Bohorič (1584) und die beiden Wörterbücher von Hieronymus Megiser (1592, 1603) prägten unmittelbar die slowenische Sprache bis zur Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts, mittelbar sogar noch darüber hinaus. Primus Trubar (slow. Primož Trubar) schuf die slowenische Schriftsprache (1550) und entwarf eine Vision der Entwicklung von Schulwesen und Kultur, die zwar nie in Gänze umgesetzt wurde, doch unter den Slowenen nie verklang. Es entstand auch ein Bewusstsein für die slowenische Sprache als verbindendes Element aller Slowenen.

Žita Slovenije

Žita so bila v zgodovinskem razvoju in so tudi danes med najbolj pomembnimi živili za pripravo kruha in drugih, pretežno močnatih jedi. Arheološke najdbe potrjujejo, da so davni prebivalci na ozemlju današnje Slovenije poznali pšenico, rž, ječmen in proso že v prazgodovini in antiki, torej pred prihodom slovanskih plemen. Uporaba žit je bila v različnih obdobjih različna. Velik pomen je imela pšenica in z njo povezane predvsem praznične vrste belega kruha, čeprav kruh ne sodi med najstarejša živila. Sindrom belega kruha je bil značilen za dolga stoletja zgodovinskega razvoja, tudi družbenih razmerij in šele sodobni prehranski pogledi so to začeli spreminjati.

Od pšenice manj zahtevna za pridelavo je bila pira, imenovana tudi ber. Zelo obsežno so naši predniki uporabljali proso in ječmen, ne le za prehrano ampak tudi za živinsko krmo.

Proso je začelo izgubljati na pomenu šele od konca 18. stoletja povsod po slovenskem ozemlju, razen v Beli krajini, kjer so ga imenovali kar žito. Na širšem območju Cerknice so ga imenovali hitrica, ker je zelo hitro zraslo in dozorelo. Proseno moko so uporabljali za kruh, priljubljena pa je bila tudi prosena kaša ali pšeno, ušeno.

Ječmen je bil manj občutljiv za mraz in je prav tako hitreje dozorel od drugih žit. Imel je tudi zanesljivejši pridelek od pšenice. Ječmen oz. ječmenovo moko so uporabljali za pripravo kruha, ječmenova kaša ali ješprenj pa je bila ena od izjemno priljubljenih jedi, pripravljenih na različne načine.

Cereals of Slovenia

Over the course of history, cereals have been among the most important foodstuffs for the preparation of bread and other, mainly flour-based dishes. They continue to play this role today. Archaeological finds confirm that the ancient inhabitants of present-day Slovenia were familiar with wheat, rye, barley and millet in prehistoric times and in antiquity, in other words before the arrival of Slavonic tribes. The use of cereals varied in different periods. Wheat was of great importance, as were the various types of white bread associated with it, particularly those made on feast days and holidays, despite the fact that bread is not among the oldest foodstuffs. Centuries of historical development were characterised by "white bread syndrome", as were relations within society, and it is only with the advent of modern views about diet that this situation has begun to change.

Less difficult to grow than wheat was spelt. The use of millet and barley was very widespread among our ancestors, who used these cereals not only as food for themselves but also as feed for livestock.

Millet began to wane in importance across the Slovene lands from the end of the eighteenth century onwards, with the exception of the Bela Krajina region, where it was known simply as žito, a generic word for cereals or grain. In a wide area around Cerknica it was known as hitrica (from the adjective hiter, meaning fast) because it grew and ripened very quickly. Millet flour was used to make bread, while millet porridge was also a popular dish.

Barley was less sensitive to frost and likewise ripened more quickly than other cereals. It also produced a more reliable crop than wheat. Barley flour was used to make bread, while barley porridge or ješprenj was an extremely popular dish, prepared in a variety of ways.

Getreidearten SloweniensGetreide war in der historischen Entwicklung und ist auch in der heutigen Zeit eines der wichtigsten Lebensmittel und gilt als Grundzutat für Brot und andere Gerichte, vorwiegend Mehlspeisen. Archäologische Funde belegen, dass die Ureinwohner im Gebiet des heutigen Sloweniens bereits in der Vorzeit und im Altertum Weizen, Roggen, Gerste und Hirse kannten, also schon vor der Ankunft slawischer Völker. Das Getreide fand in den verschiedenen Zeitepochen unterschiedliche Anwendung. Eine große Bedeutung hatten der Weizen und das mit ihm verbundene Weißbrot, das vor allem an Festtagen gebacken wurde, obwohl Brot nicht zu den ältesten Nahrungsmitteln zählt. Das Syndrom des Weißbrotes war für viele Jahrhunderte der historischen Entwicklung prägend, auch für die Entwicklung von gesellschaftlichen Verhältnissen. Erst moderne Ernährungsaspekte begannen dies zu ändern.

Weniger anspruchsvoll als der Weizenanbau war der Dinkel, auch Spelz genannt. Stark verbreitet bei den Vorfahren waren Hirse und Gerste, sowohl als Nahrungs- als auch als Futtermittel.

Erst Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts begann die Hirse überall im slowenischen Raum an Bedeutung zu verlieren, außer in der Region Bela krajina (alter dt. Name Weißkrain), wo sie allgemein als Getreide (slow. žito) bezeichnet wurde. Im Großraum von Cerknica wurde die Hirse sogar hitrica (dt. schnell wachsendes Getreide), genannt, da sie sehr schnell wuchs und reifte. Hirsemehl wurde zum Brotbacken verwendet, sehr beliebt war auch der Hirsebrei.

Die Gerste war weniger kälteempfindlich und reifte schneller als andere Getreidearten. Dadurch war auch der Ernteertrag sicherer als bei Weizen. Die Gerste bzw. das Gerstenmehl wurde zum Brotbacken verwendet. Gerstenbrei oder Graupen (slow. ješprenj) war ein außergewöhnlich beliebtes Gericht, das auf verschiedene Arten zubereitet wurde.

Die erfolgreichste Entwicklungsgeschichte erlebte der Buchweizen, die jüngste Getreideart im slowenischen Raum, die sich erst Ende des Mittelalters durchzusetzen begann. Im Urbar von Oberburg (slow. Gornji Grad) ist die älteste Erwähnung

Najbolj uspešno razvojno zgodbo ima ajda, ki je na Slovenskem najmlajša, saj se je začela uveljavljati šele konec srednjega veka. V gornjegrajskem urbarju je ohranjena najstarejša omemba ajde iz leta 1426 in sicer kot pagana. V splošno uporabo je prešla v 16. stoletju in je močno spremenila tudi kolobarni sistem. Postala je zelo popularna, ljudje so jo vzljubili zaradi okusa in različne uporabnosti v prehrani. Iz ajdove moke so pekli ajdov kruh, za katerega je že polihistor Janez Vajkard Valvasor leta 1689 zapisal, da je črn kot zemlja. Poleg ajdove moke se je razširila tudi uporaba ajdove kaše. Priljubljenost in okus ajde dokazuje njeno staro narečno poimenovanje jeda na Gorenjskem. V 19. stoletju je baron Žiga Zois začel uvajati tatarsko ajdo, ki so jo po njem imenovali cojzla.

The cereal that has enjoyed the most conspicuous success story is buckwheat, despite the fact that it was not introduced until the end of the Middle Ages and is therefore the youngest cereal in Slovenia. The land register in the town of Gornji Grad contains the oldest surviving reference to buckwheat, from the year 1426, where it is referred to as pagana (the usual Slovene word for buckwheat, ajda, is closely related to the word ajd, meaning "pagan"). Buckwheat passed into general use in the sixteenth century and caused a significant change to the crop rotation system. It became extremely popular: people liked it because of its flavour and for the fact that it lent itself to various culinary uses. Buckwheat flour was used to make buckwheat bread, which the historian and chronicler Johann Weichard Valvasor described in 1689 as being "as black as earth". Buckwheat porridge grew in popularity as well. The popularity and flavour of buckwheat are demonstrated by its old name in the dialect of the Gorenjska region, where it was known as jeda, meaning "good to eat". In the nineteenth century Baron Sigmund Zois (archaic spelling: Cojz) began to import Tartary buckwheat, which became known, after him, as cojzla.

von Buchweizen aus dem Jahre 1426 erhalten, und zwar als pagana. Buchweizen fand im 16. Jahrhundert allgemeine Anwendung und bewirkte auch eine große Veränderung des Fruchtfolgesystems bzw. der Felderwirtschaft. Der Buchweizen war sehr beliebt und wegen seines Geschmacks und der unterschiedlichen Verwendung in der Ernährung sehr geschätzt. Aus Buchweizenmehl wurde Buchweizenbrot gebacken. Der slowenische Universalgelehrte Johannes Weichard von Valvasor schrieb 1689 in seinen Werken, dass das Brot schwarz wie die Erde sei. Neben dem Buchweizenmehl war auch der Buchweizenbrei stark verbreitet. Die Beliebtheit und der Geschmack von Buchweizen beweisen alte slowenische lokale Namen für Gerichte in der Region Gorenjska (einst Oberkrain). Im 19. Jahrhundert begann Karl Sigismund Zois, Freiherr von Edelstein (slow. Žiga Zois), den Tatarischen Buchweizen anzubauen, der im Dialekt nach ihm benannt wurde (cojzla).

Notranjska Regional Park – Lake Cerknica

Notranjska Regional Park lies within the boundaries of the municipality of Cerknica and has an area of just over 222 km². It was established in 2002 with the intention of preserving, protecting and researching the natural and cultural assets of the area. It is distinguished by a high degree of conserved natural habitats, numerous natural monuments, extraordinary biodiversity and a distinctive cultural landscape marked by a long and propitious interweaving of human activity and nature.

Lake Cerknica (Cerkniško jezero), the heart of Notranjska Regional Park, is one of the largest intermittent lakes in Europe. Water usually remains on Cerknica Polje (Cerkniško polje) for around nine months of the year. In normal conditions the lake covers an area of more than 20 km2, but when water levels are highest this figure increases to almost 30 km2. When it is full, Lake Cerknica is the biggest lake in Slovenia. In the dry part of the year, when the lake disappears, an undulating karst terrain with numerous swallow holes is revealed.

In a single year it is possible to row, fish, skate, ramble and mow a meadow – all in the same place! At the same time Lake Cerknica hosts all manner of creatures ranging from the tiniest snail to the mightiest bear. The variety of life here is truly remarkable, and the Notranjska Regional Park is thus one of Slovenia's biodiversity hotspots. Scientists and nature lovers have been drawn here since time immemorial, and this unique environment always offers them something they have never seen before.

Regionalpark Notranjska – Cerknica-See

Der Regionalpark Notranjska liegt in der Gemeinde Cerknica und erstreckt sich auf gut 222 km². Er wurde 2002 gegründet, um die Natur- und Kulturwerte dieser Region zu bewahren, zu schützen und zu erforschen. Den Park prägen einerseits eine große Anzahl von erhaltenen natürlichen Lebensräumen, zahlreiche Naturdenkmäler und eine außergewöhnliche Vielfalt an Lebewesen, andererseits jedoch eine unverkennbare Kulturlandschaft, die durch die lange andauernde qualitative Verknüpfung von Mensch und Natur geprägt wurde und welche sich mit einem hohen ökologischen, biotischen und landschaftlichen Wert rühmen kann.

Das Herz des Regionalparks Notranjska ist der Cerknica-See, einer der größten Sickerseen in Europa. Das Wasser bleibt im Cerknica-Feld in der Regel ungefähr neun Monate im Jahr erhalten. Gewöhnlich beträgt die Seeoberfläche gute 20 km2, beim Höchstwasserstand sogar fast 30 km2. Der mit Wasser gefüllte Cerknica-See ist der größte See in Slowenien. Während der trockeneren Jahreszeit, wenn der See verschwunden ist, können die Besucher eine dynamische Karstlandschaft mit zahlreichen Schlundlöchern bestaunen.

Am See kann man in einem Jahr an der gleichen Stelle rudern, angeln, Eis laufen, spazieren gehen und die Wiese mähen! Zugleich ist der Cerknica-See ein Lebensraum für zahlreiche Tiere, von der kleinsten Schneckenart bis zum stärksten Bären. Dank der hiesigen außergewöhnlichen Vielfalt an Leben ist der Regionalpark Notranjska einer der Hotspots der Biodiversität in Slowenien. Der Park zieht schon seit jeher Naturwissenschaftler und -liebhaber an und bietet jedes Mal etwas Neues, noch nie Gesehenes zu bestaunen.

Notranjski regijski park leži znotraj meja občine Cerknica in obsega dobrih 222 km². Ustanovljen je bil leta 2002 z namenom, da se ohranjajo, varujejo in raziskujejo naravne in kulturne vrednote tega območja. Odlikujejo ga visoka stopnja ohranjenosti naravnih življenjskih prostorov, številni naravni spomeniki, izjemna pestrost živih bitij, na drugi strani pa razpoznavna kulturna krajina, ki jo je zaznamoval dolgotrajen kakovosten preplet človeka in narave, ponaša se z veliko ekološko, biotsko in krajinsko vrednostjo.

Srce Notranjskega parka je Cerkniško jezero, eno največjih presihajočih jezer v Evropi. Voda se na Cerkniškem polju praviloma zadrži okoli devet mesecev na leto. Navadno je površina jezera velika dobrih 20 km2, ko je vode največ, pa skoraj 30 km2. Ko je polno, je Cerkniško jezero največje jezero v Sloveniji, v suhem delu leta, ko jezero izgine, pa se obiskovalcu pokaže razgiban kraški teren z mnogimi požiralniki.

Tu je v enem letu mogoče na istem mestu veslati, ribariti, drsati, se sprehajati in kositi travnik! Hkrati pa Cerkniško jezero gosti najbolj drobnega polžka, najkrepkejšega medveda in vse vmes. Tukajšnja pestrost življenja je izjemna, zato je Notranjski park ena od vročih točk biodiverzitete v Sloveniji. Že od nekdaj privablja naravoslovce in ljubitelje narave, vsakič pa ponudi kaj novega, še ne videnega.

22-spot ladybird (Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata)

The number of spots and even the colours of some species of ladybirds show a surprising amount of variation, which means that they are not always a reliable indication when it comes to distinguishing between similar species. The 22-spot ladybird has twenty-two well-rounded black spots on its bright yellow wing-cases and a further five spots on its yellow thorax. This is a reliable way to distinguish the species from other small, yellow ladybird species with 19, 16 or 14 black spots on their wing-cases. The larvae and pupae of this species of ladybird are yellow with black spots, just like adult specimens. Unlike most other ladybirds, the 22-spot feeds exclusively on the mildew that grows on the upper side of the leaves of various plants and trees.

Eyed ladybird (Anatis ocellata)

Although the eyed ladybird is somewhat similar in appearance to the seven-spot ladybird, the two species can be easily distinguished by the fact that the black spots on the red or orange wing-cases of the former are surrounded by a lighter ring or halo, giving them the appearance of "eyes". The halo around the black spots is sometimes quite indistinct, while in some cases the black spots on the wing-cases of this species can be blurred or fused. Another characteristic of the eyed ladybird is a black and white pattern on the thorax that is different from those seen in other similar species. With a body length of between 7 and 8.5 mm, the eyed ladybird is among the largest European ladybirds. It lives in coniferous and mixed forests, where both larvae and adults feed on conifer aphids. The species is common and widely distributed in Slovenia.

Striped ladybird (Myzia oblongoguttata)

With an 8 mm body length, the striped ladybird is the second-largest ladybird species in Slovenia. Its chestnut to reddish-brown wing-cases are marked with long, lighter-coloured stripes, rather than spots like the majority of ladybirds. The centre of the thorax is noticeably darker and has large white spots on the sides. Owing to the longitudinal shape of the stripes on its wing-cases and its size, it is practically impossible to confuse this species with any other species of ladybird in Slovenia. The striped ladybird is adapted to life in coniferous trees, particularly spruce and pine, where it is a tireless devourer of aphids. Like other species of ladybird, the striped ladybird defends itself against predators by exuding yellow drops of a foul-smelling, toxic substance from its leg joints.

Zweiundzwanzigpunkt-Marienkäfer Die Anzahl der Punkte oder Flecken, bei einigen Marienkäferarten auch die Farbe, können variieren und sind daher kein zuverlässiges Erkennungsmerkmal bei der Unterscheidung von ähnlichen Arten. Der Zweiundzwanzigpunkt-Marienkäfer oder Pilz-Marienkäfer hat auf seinen kräftig gelb gefärbten Deckflügeln 22 schöne runde schwarze Punkte und noch fünf weitere Punkte auf dem gelben Halsschild. Die Art lässt sich auf diese Weise zuverlässig von anderen kleinen gelben Marienkäferarten unterscheiden, die auf ihren Deckflügeln 19, 16 oder 14 schwarze Punkte haben. Die gelbe Färbung mit schwarzen Punkten haben bei dieser Marienkäferart sowohl die erwachsenen Tiere als auch die Larven und Puppen. Im Gegensatz zur Mehrheit der anderen Marienkäfer ernährt sich diese Art ausschließlich von Mehltau, pflanzlichem Schimmel, der auf den oberen Blattseiten von Kräuterpflanzen und Bäumen entsteht.

Augenmarienkäfer Obwohl der Augenmarienkäfer oder Augenfleck-Marienkäfer vom Aussehen her dem Marienkäfer ähnelt, sind die beiden Arten leicht daran zu unterscheiden, dass beim Augenmarienkäfer die schwarzen Punkte auf den roten oder orangefarbenen Deckflügeln außergewöhnlich hell umsäumt sind und wie Augen wirken. Die helle Umrandung der schwarzen Punkte kann auch unauffällig sein. Bei dieser Marienkäferart können die schwarzen Punkte manchmal auch fast verschwommen sein. Der Augenmarienkäfer hat auch eine schwarzweiße Zeichnung am Halsschild, die sich von anderen ähnlichen Arten unterscheidet. Der Augenmarienkäfer ist 7 bis 8,5 mm lang und gehört zu den größten europäischen Marienkäferarten. Er bewohnt Nadel- und Mischwälder, in denen sich sowohl die Larven als auch die erwachsenen Tiere von auf Nadelbäumen lebenden Pflanzenläusen ernähren. Die Art kommt in Slowenien oft vor und ist weit verbreitet.

Längsfleckiger MarienkäferDer 8 mm lange Längsfleckige oder Längsstreifige Marienkäfer ist die zweitgrößte Marienkäferart in Slowenien. Er hat rostbraun bis rotbraun gefärbte Deckflügel, auf denen lange helle Längsflecken oder Längsstreifen und keine Punkte, wie bei den meisten Marienkäferarten, zu sehen sind. Das Halsschild ist in der Mitte extrem dunkel gefärbt mit großen weißen Flecken an den Seiten. Dank der länglichen Flecken auf den Deckflügeln und der Größe ist es praktisch unmöglich, diesen Käfer mit anderen Marienkäferarten zu verwechseln. Der Längsfleckige Marienkäfer ist extrem gut an das Leben auf Nadelbäumen, vorwiegend auf Fichten und Kiefern, angepasst, wo er sich unermüdlich von Blattläusen ernährt. Wie andere Marienkäferarten wehrt sich der Längsfleckige Marienkäfer gegen Räuber, indem er an den Fußgelenken gelbe Tropfen einer stinkenden, ätzenden Flüssigkeit ausscheidet.

Dvaindvajsetpikčasta polonica (Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata)Število pik ali lis, pa tudi barve pri nekaterih vrstah polonic presenetljivo variirajo in zato včasih niso zanesljiv znak za razločevanje podobnih vrst. Dvaindvajsetpikčasta polonica ima na živo rumenih pokrovkah ustaljeno število 22 lepo zaobljenih črnih pik in še dodatno 5 pik na rumenem oprsju. Vrsto tako lahko zanesljivo razločimo od ostalih majhnih rumenih vrst polonic, ki imajo na pokrovkah po 19, 16 ali 14 črnih pik. Tako kot odrasli osebki so pri tej vrsti polonice rumeno in črno pikčaste tudi njihove ličinke in bube. Za razliko od večine drugih polonic se ta vrsta hrani izključno z rastlinskim plesnimi, ki rastejo na zgornji strani listov zeli in drevja.

Okasta polonica (Anatis ocellata)Čeprav je okasta polonica na videz nekoliko podobna pikapolonici, vrsti zlahka razločimo po tem, da ima okasta črne pike na rdečih ali oranžnih pokrovkah izrazito svetlo obrobljene – okaste. Svetla obroba črnih pik je lahko neizrazita. Včasih so pri tej vrsti črne pike na pokrovkah lahko tudi skoraj zabrisane. Za okasto polonico je značilna tudi črnobela risba na oprsju, ki je drugačna kot pri drugih podobnih vrstah. Okasta polonica sodi s 7 do 8.5 mm dolžine telesa med največje evropske polonice. Živi v iglastih in mešanih gozdovih, kjer se tako ličinke kot odrasle živali hranijo z rastlinskimi ušmi, ki živijo na iglavcih. Vrsta je v Sloveniji pogosta in splošno razširjena.

Progasta polonica (Myzia oblongoguttata)Z 8 mm dolžine telesa je progasta polonica naša druga največja vrsta polonice. Ima kostanjevo rjavo do rdečkasto rjavo barvo pokrovk, na kateri so dolge svetle vzdolžne lise ali proge in ne pike, kot pri večini vrst polonic. Oprsje ima v sredini izrazito temneje obarvano ob straneh pa ima velike bele lise. Zaradi vzdolžne oblike lis na pokrovkah in velikosti, je to vrsto praktično nemogoče zamenjati za kakšno drugo našo vrsto polonice. Progasta polonica je izrazito prilagojena na življenje na iglavcih, zlasti na smrekah in borih, kjer neumorno žre listne uši. Podobno kot ostale vrste polonic se tudi progasta polonica pred plenilci brani tako, da na sklepih nog izloča rumene kapljice smrdljive, jedke tekočine.

Seven-spot ladybird (Coccinella septempunctata)

Ladybirds (Coccinellidae) are much-loved little beetles known above all for the important role they play in nature by tirelessly devouring harmful aphids (also known as plant lice or greenfly) that would otherwise damage plants. Around 5,000 species of ladybirds are known around the world, with approximately 60 species found in Slovenia. The seven-spot ladybird has seven black spots on its red wing-cases and is one of the commonest and best known species. Adult ladybirds and their larvae feed almost exclusively on aphids and are therefore considered highly useful insects. Over the four weeks of its development, each larva can consume more than 600 aphids. In winter, ladybirds sometimes take refuge in human dwellings. They are said to bring good luck and for this reason they are very popular.

Pikapolonica (Coccinella septempunctata)

Polonice (Coccinellidae) so pri Slovencih zelo priljubljeni hroščki, znani predvsem po svoji pomembni vlogi v naravi, kjer neumorno uničujejo za človeka pogosto škodljive listne uši. Na svetu je znanih kakih 5000 vrst polonic, od katerih jih v Sloveniji najdemo približno 60 vrst. Pikapolonica, imenovana tudi sedempikčasta polonica s sedmimi črnimi pikami na rdečih pokrovkah, je ena najpogostejših in najbolj znanih vrst. Odrasli primerki in njihove ličinke se hranijo skoraj izključno z rastlinskimi ušmi, zato veljajo za človeku zelo koristne žuželke. V štiritedenskem razvoju lahko vsaka ličinka pokonča več kot 600 rastlinskih uši. Pozimi se pikapolonice rade zatekajo tudi v bivališča ljudi. Pikapolonice prinašajo srečo in ljudje jih imamo radi.

Die Marienkäfer (Coccinellidae) sind bei den Slowenen sehr beliebte Käfer, die vor allem für ihre bedeutende Funktion in der Natur bekannt sind, und zwar als unermüdliche Zerstörer der für den Menschen oft schädlichen Blattläuse. Auf der Welt sind ungefähr 5000 Marienkäferarten bekannt, von denen etwa 60 Arten in Slowenien vorkommen. Der Marienkäfer, auch Siebenpunkt-Marienkäfer genannt, mit seinen sieben schwarzen Punkten auf den roten Deckenflügeln ist eine der am häufigsten vorkommenden und bekanntesten Marienkäferarten. Erwachsene Tiere und ihre Larven ernähren sich fast ausschließlich von Pflanzenläusen und gelten daher als für den Menschen nützliche Insekten. In ihrer vier Wochen langen Entwicklung kann eine Larve mehr als 600 Pflanzenläuse vertilgen. Im Winter suchen Marienkäfer auch gerne in menschlichen Behausungen Zuflucht. Marienkäfer sind Glücksbringer und wurden von den Menschen schon seit jeher geliebt.

This year has been proclaimed Plečnik Year in honour of Slovenia's greatest architect Jože Plečnik (1872–1957), who was born 145 years ago and died 60 years ago. Numerous events, lectures and exhibitions are being organised in his honour and Pošta Slovenije is joining in the homage to the great architect with a series of three stamps.

In conjunction with the Czech Republic, Slovenia has been endeavouring for several years to have Plečnik's architecture inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Slovenia is keen to see his works in Ljubljana inscribed on the list. In order to draw attention to this important campaign, which is still ongoing, the stamps feature details of three notable examples of Plečnik's works in Ljubljana that serve as a representative selection of the works submitted for inscription. The National and University Library (1936–1941) is Plečnik's most important monumental public building in Slovenia, whose symbolic meaning as a temple of wisdom transcends its utilitarian nature as a public library. Žale, or the Garden of All Saints (1938–1940), is an architectural collection of chapels of rest distributed around a park that represents a unique solution for a cemetery and valedictory complex. The church of St Michael on the Marsh (1937–1939) should be understood as a revolutionary conception of a sacred space that aims to bring religious ritual closer to believers. The stamps are mounted on a background consisting of one of Plečnik's outline plans encompassing all his planned architectural and urban planning interventions in Ljubljana.

Dieses Jahr wurde zum Plečnik-Jahr erklärt, zu Ehren des größten slowenischen Architekten Jože Plečnik (1872–1957), der vor 145 Jahren geboren wurde und vor 60 Jahren gestorben ist. Zu seinen Ehren finden zahlreiche Veranstaltungen, Vorträge und Ausstellungen statt. Die Slowenische Post schließt sich der Ehrung des großen slowenischen Architekten an und bringt eine aus drei Briefmarken bestehende Reihe heraus.

Schon seit mehreren Jahren bemüht sich Slowenien, gemeinsam mit der Tschechischen Republik, um die Aufnahme der von Plečnik entworfenen Architektur in die Liste des Weltkulturerbes der UNESCO. Slowenien will seine Werke in Ljubljana zum Weltkulturerbe erklären lassen. Um auf diese bedeutenden Bemühungen, die zwar noch nicht abgeschlossen sind, aufmerksam zu machen, werden auf drei Briefmarken jene Werke von Plečnik in Ljubljana vorgestellt, die eine repräsentative Auswahl der angemeldeten Werke darstellen. Die National- und Universitätsbibliothek (1936–1941) stellt sein bedeutendstes monumentales öffentliches Gebäude in Slowenien dar, bei dem die symbolische Bedeutung eines Tempels der Weisheit dessen Nützlichkeit als öffentliche Bücherei übersteigt. Der Friedhof Žale – Allerheiligengarten (1938–1940) ist eine architektonische Sammlung von Aufbahrungskapellen, die im Park verteilt sind und eine einzigartige Lösung der Friedhofsanlage darstellen. Die Kirche des Hl. Michael in Barje im Südwesten von Ljubljana (1937–1939) soll als revolutionärer Grundriss eines Sakralbaus von Plečnik angesehen werden, der den Gläubigen den religiösen Ritus näherbringen soll. Die Motive auf den Briefmarken sind in einen der Plečnik-Pläne aller seiner geplanten Eingriffe in Ljubljana eingebettet.

Letošnje leto so razglasili za Plečnikovo leto, po našem največjem arhitektu Jožetu Plečniku (1872–1957), ki se je rodil pred 145 leti in umrl pred 60 leti. Njemu v čast potekajo številne prireditve, predavanja in razstave, Pošta Slovenije pa se počastitvi velikega arhitekta pridružuje z izdajo serije treh znamk.

Že več let si naša država skupaj s Češko republiko prizadeva za vpis Plečnikove arhitekture na Unescov seznam svetovne kulturne dediščine. Slovenska stran želi vpisati njegova dela v Ljubljani. Da bi opozorili na to pomembno akcijo, ki sicer še ni zaključena, so na treh znamkah motivi tistih Plečnikovih del v Ljubljani, ki predstavljajo reprezentančni izbor prijavljenih del. Narodna in univerzitetna knjižnica (1936–1941) predstavlja njegovo najpomembnejšo monumetalno javno stavbo pri nas, pri kateri njen simbolni pomen templja modrosti presega njeno utilitarnost javne knjižnice. Žale – vrt vseh svetih (1938–1940) je arhitekturna zbirka kapel - predgrobnic, razvrščenih v park, kar je enkratna rešitev poslovilnega kompleksa. Cerkev sv. Mihaela na Barju (1937–1939) pa je treba razumeti kot revolucionarno Plečnikovo zasnovo sakralnega prostora z namenom približati verski obred vernikom. Znamke so umeščene v podlago iz enega Plečnikovih zbirnih načrtov vseh njegovih načrtovanih posegov v Ljubljani.

Izšlo bo novembra 2017

Tudi letošnji novembrski izid znamk zaznamujejo štiri redne znamke, dve z božičnima in dve z novoletnima motivoma. Kot že leta doslej, bodo praznične znamke tudi tokrat izdane v polah po 50 znamk ter v štirih priročnih zvežčkih s po 12 znamkami.

Novembra bo izšla prva znamka nove serije Slovenci po svetu, ki jo bomo posvetili Slovencem v Argentini. Znamka bo izšla v poli 25 znamk, njena nominala pa bo 0,48 EUR.

Serijo znamk, s katero obeležujemo 100. obletnico I. svetovne vojne, nadaljujemo z znamko v poli 25 znamk, katere motiv bo Majniška deklaracija. Nominala znamke bo 0,48 EUR.

V seriji Slovensko industrijsko oblikovanje bo v mali poli z 10 znamkami in nominalo 0,78 EUR izšla znamka z motivom pralnega stroja Gorenje.

Serijo znamk Z žlico po Sloveniji nadaljujemo z znamkama, ki predstavljata še dve značilni slovenski jedi: tokrat sta to belokranjska povitica ter pečeno jagnje z rožmarinom. Kot vse znamke te serije bosta tudi ti znamki izšli v poli s 16 znamkami (8 x 2), nominala vsake znamke pa bo 1,15 EUR.

Znamko iz serije Slovenski filmi letos posvečamo 40. obletnici filma Sreča na vrvici. Znamka bo izšla v mali poli z 10 znamkami, njena nominala pa bo 1,29 EUR.

Novembra bo izšla tudi razglednična dopisnica, posvečena 130. obletnici rojstva Andreja Gosarja, slovenskega pravnika, politika, sociologa in pedagoga.

Opomba:Predstavljeni so osnutki znamk, pri katerih še lahko pride do sprememb.

Due in November 2017

This year's November issue will once again include four definitive stamps, two with Christmas designs and two with New Year designs. As in previous years, the festive stamps will be issued in sheets of 50 stamps and in four handy booklets containing 12 stamps each.

November will see the issue of the first stamp in the new series Slovenes Around the World, dedicated to Slovenes in Argentina. This stamp will be issued in a sheet of 25 stamps, and will have a face value of €0.48.

We continue our series of stamps marking the centenary of the First World War with a stamp dedicated to the May Declaration, issued in a sheet of 25. The stamp will have a face value of €0.48.

The latest stamp in the Slovene Industrial Design series will feature a washing machine by Gorenje. The stamp, with a face value of €0.78, will be issued in a sheetlet of 10 stamps.

We continue our Gastronomy series with two stamps representing two more typical Slovene dishes: Bela Krajina povitica and roast lamb with rosemary. Like all the stamps in this series, they will be issued in sheets of 16 stamps (8 x 2) and each stamp will have a face value of €1.15.

The last stamp due this year is a stamp in the Slovene Cinema series, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the film Sreča na vrvici (international title: Hang on, Doggy). A stamp featuring a scene from the film will be issued in a sheetlet of 10 stamps and will have a face value of €1.29.

We conclude November's stamp issue with the issue of a picture postcard marking the 130th anniversary of the birth of the Slovene jurist, politician, sociologist and educator Andrej Gosar.

Neuerscheinungen im November 2017

Auch in diesem Jahr erscheinen im November vier Dauerbriefmarken – je zwei mit Weihnachts- und Neujahrsmotiv. Wie schon in den Jahren zuvor, erscheinen die festlichen Briefmarken auch diesmal im Bogen zu je 50 Briefmarken sowie in vier handlichen Heftchen mit je 12 Marken.

Im November erscheint auch die erste Briefmarke der Reihe Slowenen in der Welt, die den Slowenen in Argentinien gewidmet ist. Die Briefmarke erscheint im Bogen mit 25 Marken mit einem Nennwert von 0,48 €.

Die Briefmarkenreihe 100 Jahre seit dem Ersten Weltkrieg setzen wir mit einer Briefmarke im Bogen mit 25 Marken mit dem Motiv der Maideklaration fort. Der Nennwert der Briefmarke beträgt 0,48 €.

In der Reihe Slowenisches Industriedesign erscheint im Kleinbogen mit 10 Marken und einem Nennwert von 0,78 € eine Briefmarke mit dem Motiv der Waschmaschine von Gorenje.

Die Reihe Gastronomie setzen wir mit zwei Briefmarken fort, die zwei typische slowenische Gerichte darstellen: diesmal die Belokranjska povitica (schneckenförmiges Salzgebäck aus Bela Krajina) und gebratenes Lamm mit Rosmarin. Wie alle Marken dieser Reihe erscheinen auch diese beiden im Bogen zu je 16 Briefmarken (8 x 2), jede mit einem Nennwert von 1,15 €.

Als letzte Briefmarke in diesem Jahr erscheint die Marke aus der Reihe Slowenische Filme, die dem 40. Jahrestag des Films Sreča na vrvici (Das Glück an der Leine) gewidmet ist. Die Briefmarke erscheint im Kleinbogen mit 10 Marken und mit einem Nennwert von 1,29 €.

Die Novemberausgabe wird mit der Ausgabe einer Bildpostkarte abgeschlossen, die dem 130. Geburtstag von Andrej Gosar, dem slowenischen Juristen, Politiker, Soziologen und Pädagogen, gewidmet ist.
