Andy holds a bachelor degree of Land Surveying in Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a master degree in Information Technology Management in Hong Kong Chinese University. He is a professional member of the HKIBIM, as well as the founding member of the Building Smart Hong Kong. Programme Highlight: In this 1-day workshop, you are going to learn more about the fundamental concept, usage models/key learning from overseas cases. In addition, live demos will be conducted to illustrate how to leverage existing GIS data for planning BIM projects whereas how basic analysis can be done for better design. Meanwhile, you will learn how to present proposal and execute project collaboration with BIM, enhancing project efficiencies through clash analysis, 4D simulation & CMC plan. Challenges of BIM adoption will be discussed to enable your understanding about the existing gaps in BIM modeling, analysis & reporting tools; legal implication & intellectual property issue associated with BIM will also be covered Agenda: 1. Opening by CEEAA representative 5 minutes 2. Integration of BIM and Green Building Standards by Professor Po-Han Chen, 60 minutes Department of Civil Engineering National Taiwan University 3. BIM for Infrastructural Projects Fundamental by Mr. Andy Chan, Project Manager in Spatial Technology Limited Section 1 - Introduction of BIM 90 minutes Media: PowerPoint Presentation - What is BIM? - Benefits of BIM - Typical Use Case of BIM Development of BIM in other countries (China, Korea, Singapore, UK, US) - Use case and benefits of BIM in Local Infrastructure project - Market Trend
