Conclusion: The purpose of this experiment is to teach student how to use the microscope and identify the structure of cells. The level of organization of cells in plant and animal are different. Cheek cells consist of cell membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus. On the other hand, onion cells consist of cell wall, plasma membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm and vacuoles. Both the cheek cells and onion cells do not have chloroplasts which cannot make their own food through photosynthesis. The methylene blue solution stains the cytoplasm and nucleus of cheek cells blue in colour. The iodine solution stains the nucleus of onion cells brown and the starch granules and chloroplast blue black. This is very important so that we can observe the structures of cheek cells and onion cells under the microscope more clearly. So the purpose of this experiment had been done in a good way. Most of us know how to use the microscope well and know how to prepare slide. Most of us know can identify the structure of tissue, and labelled the structure. The cell structure of plan is different than animal. There are structure that only certain plant or animal that have. So by the end of this experiment, we can identify and labelled the structure and can recognise it and know how to use the microscope correctly. Reference: 1. Dicking, W. R. (2000). Complete Biology.
