Packaging

Container completely manufactured in titanium to avoid contamination of the im-plant with other materials.The container and it’s lid are completely recyclable and protected by a hermetically sealed blister in the box.The screw-top lid is part of the and can be removed with the purpose screwdriver which separates it with a slight rotatory movement.

Why is it more resistant ?

In the picture you see the structural difference between ORBIT Ø 2.7 mm diameter on the left and a common dental implant Ø 2.7 mm with an internal connection to the right. ORBIT has a solid implant body while other implants by necessity have a cavity to house the various abutments which weakens the sides.As a result of this connection system the Orbit range starts with a diameter of 2.4mm with a superior mechanical resistance to the current biphasic implant systems. TiDAE SurfaceThe superficial treatment used for the endo-osseous part of the implant is based on Double Acid Etching. The final clean with glow discharge plasma leaves the surface homogenous and without residue.

Static and dynamic loading tests in according to ISO 14801

ORBIT passed the static mechanical strength test with an average load of 1322 N.

ORBIT passed the fatigue strength test with a 400 N for 5.000.000 cycles.

Superficial topographyThis technique allows the ability to get a topography of the external layers to a depth of about 8 nanometres (nm) for optimal os-seo-integration.

Characteristics of the anodised coronal portionThe coronal part of the ORBIT implant undergoes a process of anodization to give it a gold colour which is aestehically advantageous. This layer, naturally present on each titanium component, when exposed to the atmosphere is created by oxygen on the titanium. It usually measured about 3-4 nm and is transparent. The growth of this layer until a thickness comparable to the wavelength of light causes optical phenomena. Depending on the thickness of this layer, the optical effect creates defined colours without needing addi-tional materials or coverings.

AttentionWhen placing a ORBIT fixture in soft bone (D IV) the surgeon should consider undersizing osteotomy.The final drill diameter should be limited to the one immediately smaller than the diameter that should have been used.When placing an ORBIT fixture in hard bone (D I) do not underpre-pare the osteotomy site.The surgeon should consider to use as final drill diameter the one immediately bigger than the diameter that should have been used, stopping at the second laser mark. This will create an osteotomy of proper dimension in the dense cortical bone without any under-preparation.

Using the appropriate cap, both conometric and screw prosthetic can be added to the LEM.For both these options there are rotational non-rotational caps.The prosthetic screws should be inserted using 25/30Ncm.The medical grade 5 titanium caps are covered in titanium nitride to increase their resistance to wear and tear.Aesthetics is improved by the gold colour which hides the metal under the soft tissue.
