Washing with water alone reduces contamination by up-to 60%, but using a heavy-duty detergent decreases the original burden by 99%. Therefore, thorough washing of all surfaces and equipment with an effective heavy-duty detergent is essential to achieve the best results from any subsequent disinfection procedure.

Biosolve™ E has been specifically engineered to ensure that its formulation does not interfere with Virkon™ AQUATIC’s subsequent broad spectrum activity following the detergent washing stage of a shrimp production biosecurity program.

Biosolve™ E is a highly alkaline blend of non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants in an aqueous solution incorporating a sequestrant for superior hard water performance.

Biosolve™ E has been formulated using actives which have been carefully selected for their environmental profile, and complies with the biodegradability requirements laid down by the European regulation on detergents (648/2004/EC).

By its nature, the physical structure of a biofilm is complex, making it hard to remove from surfaces using just water, caustic soda or standard detergents.

What is the difference between Biosolve™ E vs. standard detergents and Caustic Soda?

Unlike household detergents or standard caustic soda, Biosolve™ E is a modern formulated heavy-duty cleaner made from carefully selected non-ionic and amphoteric detergents, combined with a high concentration of caustic soda.

The powerful alkaline formulation of Biosolve™ E has been specifically developed to quickly clean, degrease and remove biofilm from the surfaces of PL tanks, shrimp pond liners (PE & Concrete), aeriation paddles, boats, and other equipment used on and around a shrimp production facility.

For ease of preparation, Biosolve™ E solutions can be made using either fresh or saltwater.

Improved Rinsing Capabilities

Biosolve™ E is suitable to be either foamed or sprayed onto surfaces and equipment with its optimised formulation offering the user improved rinsing capabilities over other detergent formulations. This ultimately means less water used, and time taken to carry out the washing stage of a shrimp production cleaning and disinfection biosecurity program.

Storage

Store in a cool dry place away from other products.

Do not allow contact with acids.

Disposal

Dilute small quantities to waste water, via a foul sewer or other treatment facility in accordance with local water authority regulations.
