THE QUEKETT CLUB.-Dr. Matthews was electedPresident of this club at the recent annual meeting. We

understand that the club is in a prosperous condition, andis doing good work in furthering the use of the microscopefor both general and scientific purposes.MANCHESTER MEDICAL SOCIETY.-A number of

the members of the Manchester Medical Society have pre-sented a very handsome time-piece (value £30) to Mr. CharlesJ. Cullingworth, one of their honorary librarians, as a proofof the value they set upon his services, especially in thepreparation of a new folio reference catalogue. The Society’slibrary has been largely increased during recent years, andis now one of the most important in this country.
