Birzeit - Old Town.. Palestine
The House’s activities are for Children ages 6-100 years.
Since its establishment, Al Nayzak Organization for Supportive Education and Scientific Innovation has dedicated itself to creating an effective and long lasting change in the Palestinian community. The organization has taken on the fields of science and technology education, critical and logical thinking, scientific and technological entrepreneurship, and systematic social change that depends on scientific research. In order to achieve its mission, the organization worked through a series of chronically conducted programs to incubate talented people from an early age all the way until they are equipped with enough scientific knowledge to realize their scientific potential and produce efficient scientific and technological innovations.
The Idea
7
The idea for establishing the first science and technology house in the country comes as a part of the organization’s effort in popularizing science and technology education among the Palestinian society, and providing this society with the latest, hands-on, interactive scientific and technological knowledge. The establishment of the house is considered a great step is in the history of the organization. However, the organization doesn’t stop at this house but continuous working towards its ultimate dream to establish the First Palestinian Science and Technology Museum.
In 2013, Al Nayzak Organization celebrates its ten year anniversary with the opening of the Saadeh Science and Technology House. The organization hopes for it to be the destination for all those seeking knowledge in an interactive and nontraditional manner, as well as it hopes for it to bring out the ties between science and technology and our everyday life.

These phenomena are presented to the house’s visitors (children and adults) in an interactive manner that guarantees the visitors’ engagement in the process of knowledge acquisition, and guarantees the visitors’ entertainment with science and technology.
The science house is considered an extracurricular educational institution that assists educators in channeling true knowledge to children in practical and exiting manner. It is also a place to have fun and spend vacation days for it contains various sections that are of interest to all ages and educational levels.

The initiative of establishing and operating the First Science and Technology House in Palestine comes as a continuation of Al Nayzak’s efforts in building a generation of critical thinkers who depend in their everyday life on scientific and practical learning. Further, it supports the organization’s attempts providing additional interactive and hands-on scientific resources to support the education of the official curricula in science and technology, and fill the deficiency in the schools’ resources.
In early 2009, Al Nayzak initiated the planning and research for the establishment of the house. Later in 2010 Al Nayzak organization found the suitable place for the house in the old town of Birzeit. Choosing the house in the heart of Birzeit’s old town combines the ancient structure and characteristics of the house and the town, with the modern knowledge in science and technology. This approach provides advanced knowledge within a context that is familiar and enriched in the culture and daily life of the people.
Establishment Journey:

The vision of the organization met with that of the house’s owners (Saadeh family) especially with Mr. Ra’ed Saadeh, and met with Al Rozana Association in Birziet, experts in heritage preservation and an active association in reviving the old town of Birzeit. Al Nayzak then initiated its full funding and implementation of the renovation process of the old house to be a pioneer home for science and knowledge. The renovation process came with the sole funding of Al Nayzak Organization.
The renovation was done on two levels, the first is the rehabilitation of the house and its infrastructure, and the second is placing appropriate scientific infrastructure and equipment to suite operating the scientific exhibitions and laboratories.
