What’s the big deal?

BPA in the body can interfere with the endocrine system (which regulates body changes and hormones). Basically it will mess with the brain, behavior, and the reproductive system.

If someone is exposed to BPA, such as in a workplace, it can irritate the eyes, lips and skin. Inhaling BPA can irritate the nose and throat and cause wheezing. Exposure can cause headache, nausea, stomach pain and vomiting. http://toxtown.nlm.nih.gov/text_version/chemicals.php?id=69
