MAI TAI (Oakland, California) 9.99Victor J. Bergeron claimed to have invented the Mai Tai in 1944 at his restaurant, Trader Vic’s for some friends who were visiting from Tahiti. One of those friends, Carrie Guild, tasted it

and cried out: “Maita’i roa ae!” (literally “very good!”, figuratively

“Out of this world! The best!”)—hence the name.

HURRICANE (New Orleans, Louisiana) 9.99

The creation is credited to New Orleans tavern owner Pat O’Brien. He poured the concoction into

hurricane-lamp shaped glasses.

MARGARITA (Mexico) 9.99One of the earliest stores is of the Margarita being invented in 1938 by Carlos “Danny” Herrera at his restaurant Rancho La Gloria.
