Message from the Chancel lorIt is a source of great pleasure and satisfaction for me tosee that Biztek has completed one decade and has nowstarted marching towards new horizons with the aim ofexploring new avenues in education.

We are fervently trying to provide a well educated, professionally well-skilled and technically advanced newgeneration to our beloved Pakistan. Our commitment tothe cause of education with professional development ofthe younger generation has given us the first fruit in theshape of the 'A' ranking by the Higher Educat ionCommission and grading of 5 star University by theGovernment of Sindh.

We also have an outstanding and prominent faculty toeducate and train the youth and professionals. It is worthnoting that our Rector, Dr. Muhammad Ali Siddiqui, hasbeen awarded 'Sitara-e-Imt iaz' by the Government ofPakistan on his outstanding work as an academician ineducation and literature. Our Rector is a Social Scientist ofinternational repute. The rest of the faculty is highly reputedin their respective fields.

We are not only emphasising on imparting better educationbut also focusing on co-curricular act ivit ies which areessent ial for the healthy growth and intel lectualdevelopment of the students.

In view of the needs and requirements of the present dayworld, we have introduced an array of multi disciplinarycurriculums at Biztek, so that the students having interestin various disciplines can get degree level education in therelated fields of important disciplines.

Life in today's dynamic world is extremely competit ive. Those of us who are continuously striving to maintain theuniversal standards of progress in educat ion andprofessional development, and understanding the marketrequirements are on the path of success. Challenges keepsurfacing in our lives and the challenge of tackling them

requires a continuous effort and determination of will, ability, strength, dedication and faith.

Accomplishing one's goals and turning our aspirations intoreality requires tremendous discipline, mental alertness, hard work and capability in making realistic judgments. Itrequires convict ion and aff irmation of a profession toachieve the required excellence. Achieving the unachievableis not by accident but through dedicated focus andconcentration.

It is my firm belief that students who are prepared to gobeyond the required curricula or assignments will definitelyachieve their full potential and ultimate distinction. Be astudent as long as you have something to learn, and thismeans all your life.

You will be pleased to know that Biztek has developed itsown unique criteria for admission process in comparison tothe private institutions of higher learning.

Our steadfast belief in Allah and our mission to educate ourfel low beings has aided us in conquering manyachievements. On our path to achieving the vision, we haveachieved ISO 9001: 2008 Certification.

We are grateful to Allah for all the rewards bestowed uponBiztek and seek His blessings. We are moving forward toline up to our vision based on global perspectives. Ourmission is defined on global parameters, and the pace isset for developing our human resources. We, at Biztek, arecommitted to making this nation one of the most dynamicmembers of the community, with your efforts and blessingsof Allah Almighty.

Wish you best of luck.

Message from President Asif Al i ZardariPresident of the Islamic Republ ic of Pakistan

The need for high quality educational institutions in the country has existed since long. Keeping in viewthe growing needs for higher education and limited resources at the disposal of the Government, theGovernment decided to promote private sector institutions in Sindh, and the establishment of Instituteof Business & Technology (Biztek) is a welcome step in this direction.

It’s heartening to see the private sector in Pakistan is sharing responsibility with the public sector for settingup good educational facilit ies in the country. Education is the key to the development and growth of acountry.

I’m glad to know that good teaching facilities in important disciplines like management, computer science& engineering are coming up with the initiative of the private sector. I therefore expect that the Instituteof Business and Technology would develop into a premier institution of the country. I expect the facultyand students of this institution to do their utmost to promote and propagate national objectives andinculcate the spirit of patriotism.

May Allah be with you in your endeavors. Ameen

Asif Ali ZardariPresidentPakistan.

Message from Rector

I would like to share with you my innermost wishes as to what I expect from an academic institution towork for the realisation of optimum potential of its students' learning goals.

In my opinion an academic institution should be known for its dedicated faculty living upto the challengesof imparting the right kind of education which an aspiring society needs in all of its cultural, economic &intellectual spheres of life. Not with standing a society's stage of social development, an academic institutionshould be striving for the attainment of scales of perfect ion which developed societ ies have set forthemselves.

I fervently believe in working for meeting the challenges of the 21st century in order to achieve the aimsand object ives of cut-and-dried parameters of excel lence in the process of globalisat ion.The students joining us will be expected to promote the culture of forebearence and excellence which isthe cornerstone of the mission. The Institute of Business & Technology has been pursuing for over a decadeas one of the highest ranking inst itut ion which the management has earmarked for them.In view of the needs and demands of the growing media in Pakistan, we have introduced media sciencesin Biztek and Social Sciences as a composite program. We have also decided to start the Ph.D program inmanagement & social sciences.

Biztek, by organizing seminars and symposia, seeks to enhance the capacity of its students. We haveorganized a number of seminars on the current socio-economic situations, pre and post - budget analysisand close liasion with trade and industry.

We, at Biztek, are endeaving to assure parents and, through them, the society all of us are a part of. For usa harmonious development of intellectual, moral and mental strengths of our students is the sine qua nonof quality education.

In short, this is what we expect our students to achieve with the effective guidance of a caring and competentfaculty.

Our aspirations for excellence met many adversaries onits way. The journey that we started with a single stephas covered a long distance in a short span of time. Weaccelerated our momentum without any compromiseon the quality edif icat ion standards and knowledgedissemination process. We have developed a distinctiveacademic culture, uncommon in other private institutesof higher learning. This was only possible because of ourf irm belief in the Almighty Allah and unshakableconfidence in our noble cause for educating the nation, which helped us to overcome apparently insurmountableobstacles amicably. On our way to perfection, we havebeen rewarded with many admirations like placementin top most category by the Higher Educat ionCommission (HEC) of Pakistan, degree awarding statusby Government of Sind h and ISO 9001:2008Certification.

The eminence and performance are judged based oninternational parameters. The admirably stocked librarywith online facilit ies have unlimited access to world'sbest-stocked libraries and more than 17,500 onlineresearch journals. The state of the art research center,air-conditioned classrooms, well equipped auditorium, multimedia teaching aids, motivational student-teacherinteraction, conversation based teaching system, highlyqualified, capable, well groomed and well experiencedfaculty, sports grounds and courts, all merit to thedistinction of Biztek.

Biztek expanded its infrastructure by building, an EastWing building inaugurated by Dr. Hameeda Khoro,Provincial Minister of Education of Sindh. Stone Layingof West Wing building was graced by His Excellency MrShaukat Aziz, Prime Minister of Pakistan. Work is inprogress for starting construction of North Wing building.Biztek is not only expanding its infrastructure at the MainCampus, but new campuses are opening to give anopportunity to individuals to be a part of our successstory and get quality education at their door step. Dueto the rapid growth of Biztek facilities and commitmentfor the best, the future of Biztek is extremely bright.

As part of our expansion plan, Biztek has already openedits Shahrah-e-Faisal Campus, Gulshan Campus andNazimabad Campus.

Considering the commitment and efforts shown by theManagement of Biztek, we have already been allotted50 acres of land at Malir Educat ion City. Work is inprogress on this Malir Education City campus and oncommissioning, this will be a state of the art multifaceted, multidimensional university having boarding facilit iesfor students, and resident ial facilit ies for its staff.
