Welcome to the 7th edition of the Blake UK and PROception Product Catalogue.

This edition, as you would expect, keeps you up-to-date with the technology changes in the DTTspectrum and includes the implemented changes for the channel 61:62 800 MHz sell off for LTE,temporary HD and local television multiplexes and local TV channels ('local digital television programmeservices' or 'L-DTPS'.) We have also enhanced our LTE mitigation guide techniques and products whichare now getting proven repeated results in the field.

Research and Development

Blake UK

Formed in 1971, Blake UK has grown to be one of the largest manufacturer/suppliers to theprofessional aerial, satellite and signal distribution related industries in the UK and is centrally located inSheffield. Formed primarily as a manufacturer of TV aerials for supply to the local area, it has grown tobe a manufacturer and importer of aerials, electronics and components for RF & HDMI applications andinstallations.

Where applicable Blake UK continues to manufacture its own products at its UK base. Where not weimport a range of high quality UK in-house designed components from our overseas manufacturingpartners. This ensures that Blake UK retains the ability to provide flexible bespoke solutions to problemsas well as remaining efficient and competitively priced within the market place.

PROception products are developed and designed specifically for the UK market. The core product mixis for the supply of RF & HDMI products for the professional installer. Where necessary products aredesigned in the UK to ensure they best meet the needs of the professional user and are optimized forthe home market. We work with a small number of carefully selected and audited Far Easternmanufacturing partners, with which we have established long term relationships to ensure that ourproducts are of the highest quality and to the correct specification. Our products are designed to berobust and reliable to ensure that the needs of the installation are met.

Gangway products are manufactured and built by Blake UK under licence from Gangway Limited, anindependent UK based Company.

Research and Development

Blake UK has extensive R&D facilities at its Sheffield base, including an anechoictest chamber, high quality electronic test and measurement equipment andcalibrated reference aerials. This puts Blake UK at the forefront of UK aerial design.All Blake UK aerials (including the new LTE range) are designed in houseto ensure our product optimised for the needs of the UK consumer. This facilitys arealso allows Blake UK to design aerials for bespoke needs if required.

We also employ RF & technical engineers at the forefront of current designknowledge to design all RF & HDMI signal handling products. All Blake UK andPROception products are UK specified and designed to ensure they meet theprecise needs of the UK environment.

Manufacturing

Where appropriate we continue to manufacture products to the highest standardswithin the UK. This allows us to remain flexible and allow a bespoke service whererequired to our customers.

Some products are sourced from overseas. Where this is done care is taken toensure that our manufacturing partners fabricate to the high standards that BlakeUK and its customers expect. Manufacturing facilities are audited to ensure that allthe necessary quality controls are in place and that they comply with the relevantHealth and Safety and Environmental legislation.
