to integrate mechanical filtrationand bioremed iation. The revolutionary integration of these t,votechnologies results in twO significant benefits:1. There is no need for chlorine to

the sanitize the waste stream, sothe ClPB is operationally saferand more environmentallyfriendly than other water treatment systems; and

2. The two technologies worktogether to treat emulsified oilsand suspended solids, such asclay or silt, which are consideredoutside the range and capabilityof other wash-water treatmentsystems.

The CLPB facilitates the injectionofa Water Maze proprietary BioStax1800 Microbe Solution coordinatedwith a time-sequenced aeration ofbacteria to control odor and createdegradation of rotal petroleumhydrocarbons (TPH), fuels, benzenes, oils, and grease. The BioStaxmicrobes are certified as gram-positive pathogen-free Class 1 organisms making them extremely safefor handling. They are alsoenhanced by the introduction of aWater Maze Bio utrient solution.

The dominant feature of the CLPBis the high-density, polyethylenetank that is extra-resistant ro chemical fatigue and ultraviolet exposure. The CLPB system is fully auromated for simple operation and low

BLACK OXIDECORROSION PROTECTIONHigh-strength bolt and critical fa teners take on a protective andanractive black oxide fini h whentreated with TRU TEMP low-temperature, non-polluting black oxide fromBirchwood Casey Metal Finishes. The TRU TEMP process forms anon-dimensional, deep black finishwith long-term corrosion resistance-the ideal surface finish forhigh-tension bolts nuts, and similarfastening device. The TRU TEMPfinish also prevents galling on critical thread surfaces.

The satin black magnetite coatingis just 0.5 microns thick (20 mil-

lionths), with no effect on materialhardness or tensile strength. The finish withstands up to 100-200 hoursofneutral salt spray (ASTM B 117) orseveral hundred hours of humidity(ASTM 0 1748), verified by independent testing. This high level ofcorrosion protection is importantfor both part srorage and shipmentin corrosive atmo pheres includingocean shipment.

TRU TEMP solutions contain noEPA-regulated chemicals, so there isusually no need for waste treatmentequipment. In most areas the rinsewaters are sewerable as non-hazardous discharge. This benefit simplifies the installation and minimizesthe capital investment needed ro setup a process line. For more information, call (952) 937-7931, visitCircle 401 on reader service card

BLAST FINISHERKalamazoo, Mich.-based HammondRoto-Finish is now offeringRecipro-Blast-an innovative finish-

ing system that uses "controlled turbulence" ro handle complex internalbla ting jobs. Especially useful formanufacrurer of hydraulic/pneumatic manifolds, valve/fining bodie , and auromotive transmissioncomponents, Recipro-Blast allowscustomers ro address internal conditions inexpensively and effectively.

Among its benefits: Recipro-Blastreplaces labor-intensive hand cleaning, molten salt cleaning, and rotarybrushes. Unlike most internal-areapeening work that utilizes lanceswith some eype ofanglehole configuration, Recipro-Blast's controlledrurbulence system offers greatlyincreased flow levels and a morefavorable angle of impingement, thereby increasing peening efficiency.

For more than 125 years,Hammond Roro-Finish has developed equipment ro service manyend-use secrors. These include: auromotive, aircraft, aerospace, medicalinstruments, implants, sportinggoods, decorative hardware, jewelry, musical instruments householdappliance, plumbing, and firearmsindustrie .
