Engineering for starch andplastic media yields outstandingmulti-media performance.
The performance advantages foundin the RAM Blast Room have roots inthe most demanding conditions - drymedia blasting with starch and plas-tic. In designing our media blastingroom, weve built-in new andadvanced engineering techniqueslike straight through media valves fornon pulsing media flow. Dual controlvariable particle size reclaimer.Media aeration. Brilliant lighting. And 60 degree angles on all hoppers,
engineering which translates intoenhanced power and smooth, responsive performance. Qualitiesthat are every bit as essential toOperators blasting with conventionalabrasives as they are to Operatorsusing starch and plastic media.
Cost savings are exceptional.
You can reuse media over and overbecause your blast room is equippedwith a RAM System, the worlds mostpreferred blast and reclaim system.RAM uses a pneumatic conveyingsystem to carry spent media to a fourstage recovery and reclaim process: acyclone centrifuge, dualadjustable air wash, magneticseparator and a vibratoryscreen. These combine to
separate dust, debris and contami-nants from reusable media. In addi-tion, a dense particle separatoroption, the DPS 3000, is available atextra cost to meet aircraft manufac-turer and military specifications formedia cleanliness in critical applica-tions.
Brilliant lighting foroptimum productivity.
No other blastrooms offersuch brilliantillumination.
Exceeding thehighest militaryspecificationsfor blast roomlighting, our
rooms enable Operators to workmore productively on routine as wellas detailed jobs. 120 to 150 foot-candle lighting level in midroom, while blasting with plastic and starchmedia, provides exceptional light forexceptional performance. Results ofUSAF testing. Documentation avail-able.
The multi-media machine.
Designed with advanced media flowengineering principles, RAM BlastRooms have roots in high perform-ance starch and plastic media blast-ing. Engineering which providessmooth, responsive plastic andstarch media blasting in addition toa new level of conventional abra-sive blasting performance thatOperators will find outstanding.Thats why you can use aluminumoxide, glass beads, starch, plasticand virtually any blasting mediawith excellent results.
The multi-mediaAir Force blast room.
The US Air Force requested twoblast room systems conventionalabrasive and plastic media. A sin-gle, high-performance multi-mediablast room was engineered toexceed all specifications. We wonthe contract and created our firstNew Generation Multi-MediaBlast Room. Because of this state-of-the-art performance the USAFordered over 150 rooms.

Starch, plastic, and abrasive media blastoperations require a controlled environ-ment. A safe, self-contained and highlyproductive multi-media blast room thatdoes not pose a health threat to workersor a toxic hazard to the environment as iscaused by liquid chemical paint stripping.Or contaminate the factory, hangar orworkplace with noise and dust. A roomwith generous lighting and ventilation formaximum Operator comfort and opti-
mum work performance. Where media iscost effectively reclaimed and reused, notwasted as it is by other systems.
Pauli Systems Reclaimable AbrasiveMachine (RAM) Blast Rooms give you allthis plus a whole lot of additional built-infeatures. Just look at our long list of stan-dard features on the RAM Blast Roomfeatures page 4.
When you order one of our modularpowerhouses, you get an easy to erect,
easy to move rugged enclosure where
you can blast with starch and plasticmedia as well as a multitude of
other media. Safely, efficientlyand cost-effectively.

Lo-Pro Feathertouch remotecontrol lightens the workload.
Lo-Pro Feathertouch, our remote blastcontrol, is faster, morereliable, and more
convenient than anyother blast controller. The compact designenables exceptionalblast control for themost sensitive opera-tion. Even in its open
position as shown in the photograph, theLo-Pro Feather-touch, combined with ourextra flexible blast hose, gives Operatorsthe smallest, most comfortable and mostproductive handful in the industry.
AutoClean dust collectorprovides super ventilation formaximum productivity.
A continuous rush ofair sweeps through theBlast Room and makesworking on detailedparts a breeze. In fact, government testsproved our most popu-lar rooms airflowaverage is far in excess
of our nominal specifications of 67-70feet per minute (20.4-21.3 m/min). Dustladen air is carried to a dust collector fil-ter of cartridge design. The dust collectoris a 100% duty cycle unit with cartridgecleaning via reverse air jet pulses activat-
ed automatically by a solid state con-troller.
Powered by RAM, the industrys toprecovery, reclaim and blast package.
Rugged, reliable, and revolutionary, RAMis specifically designed to efficientlyblast, recover and reclaim plastic and
starch media and provide outstandingperformance with conventional abrasivemedia. All floor hoppers, pressure vesselbottoms and dust collector hoppers haveslopes of 60 degrees from horizontal for
complete discharge of plastic, starch andother media.A pneumatic conveying system carriesspent media to a cyclone centrifuge, dualadjustable air wash, vibrating screen andmagnetic separator which rapidly sepa-rates reusable abrasive from dust anddebris. 24 cubic feet (0.68m3) of media inthe storage hopper and pressure vesselexpand blasting time substantially beforereclaiming.
Optional AccuFlow
empowers Blast Rooms
We powered-up ourRAM Blast Room withAccuFlow technologyto give you a high pro-duction environmentthat surpasses any-thing in the industry.AccuFlows computer-
ized media control technology enablessmooth, repeatable media flow that yourBlast Operators will find remarkable -and quality of work youll find outstand-ing.
The Smart Panelstays alert while you work.
A Smart Panel control
station on the BlastRoom exterior wall isthe watchdog for theunits key functions -dust collector blower, door interlocks, recov-ery booster blower,
and room lights. Status lights show func-
tion on and off conditions. To maxi-mize Operator safety, the panel includesa carbon monoxide monitor, alarm, dis-play meter and 3 status lights.
Choose from several roomstyles with room to grow.
Pneumatic Systems:
Choose from 3 pneumatic floor recoverysystems - each ruggedly built, quick toerect, and easy to enlarge with modularsections.
The Full Recovery Floor Room offers acomplete active floor thatrecovers media while blasting. Each floor trough is emptiedsequentially by a PauliSystems designed indexing
selector unit. Automatic recovery frees
the Operator from sweeping and reducescleanup and media recovery man-hours.
The Partial Floor Room uses a singletrough, normally placed inthe center of the floor, intowhich the Operator sweepsspent media. This model canbe fitted with two or more
troughs to fit your application.
The Lo Profile Hopper Room is the mosteconomical and easy to relo-cate. Simple to install anddismantle, it uses a revolu-
tionary hopper that allowseasy sweep-in recovery -
without the need to cut into an existingfloor.
RAM DPS 3000 highvolume DenseParticle Separator
The DPS 3000 allows
you to separate andremove dense particlesfrom plastic and starchblast media to meet USMilitary and aircraft
OEM specifications for media cleanli-ness. The system separates dense parti-cles such as sand, metallic particles, andother dense debris and drops them into acollection bin.
Operator training.
Thoroughly trained Operators not onlydo work properly and without damagebut do it in less time than untrained
operators.Thats why Pauli Systems offers the highlyrespected Total Technology Transfer train-ing and certification program. Studentshave classroom instruction, writtenexams and hands-on experience enablingthem to pass rigid certification require-ments. Training can be conducted onlocation.
Mechanical Systems:Mechanical Screw Recovery Systemis perfect for steel and othermetal media. It automaticallyrecovers media whileblasting, frees the operatorfrom sweeping and reducesclean-up time.

Pauli Systems Reclaimable AbrasiveMachine (RAM) Blast Room
State-of-the-art performance in plas-tic, starch and multi-media use.
A cost effective blast system thatrecovers and reuses media.
Superb ventilation, lighting, safetyand environmental benefits thatincrease productivity.
Construction and reliability stan-dards which exceed strict US militaryspecifications.
Peerless quality assurance whichexceeds US military specifications.
Comprehensive manuals for assem-bly, operation, troubleshooting andparts support.
How the Blast Room works.
The Operator brings the workpieceinto the room through the largeconvenient double doors. Thenwearing protective clothing includ-ing an approved blasting hood sup-plied with approved respirable air,the Operator activates the processby selecting safety button off anddepressing the lever of theFeathertouch remote control. Theprocess will not start unless theOperator has shut all doors andturned on the key functions.
Dry paint stripping involves theOperator holding a nozzle and
directing its low-pressure stream ofmedia at a workpiece until its coat-ing or contaminants are strippedaway by impact and abrasion.Throughout the process, a powerfulventilator pulls a continuous streamof air through the room, removingairborne dust. The Operators job ismade easier and safer by the
intense illumination that floods thework area.
After the stripping is over - or
simultaneously with it, dependingupon the blast room floor model - apneumatic conveying system carriesthe spent media to the cyclone cen-trifuge, dual adjustable air wash, vibratory screen and magnetic sep-arator which cleans the media andreturns it to the system for reuse. The reclaimer discards spent mediaand debris in a dust collector andupon vibratory screens.
When blasting with conventionalabrasives such as glass beads andaluminum oxide, the concept issimilar but the process is moreaggressive because of media char-acteristics and generally higher noz-zle pressure. With Pauli Systems, switching to another abrasive issimple - merely readjust the vari-able density reclaimer.
