Celebrating Achievement, Effort and Service
KW, KP and KM
Last week Kindergarten went on their first school excursion. We went to
Calmsley Hill Farm and everyone had an amazing time.
For some Kindy, it was their first time travelling on a bus! We got to pat some
gorgeous animals, go on a tractor ride and watch a sheep dog show.
Thomas Hitchon from 2C has shown off his AFL skills over the last couple of weeks
during the clinics being run at school. He has been a real team player and kicked lots
of goals for his team. Well done Thomas!
5/6T are celebrating the students in our class who have been nominated as candidates for the 2017
leadership team. We are very proud to have 10 students from our class in the running!
We look forward to their upcoming speeches and wish them all the best of luck!
Congratulations guys!

SRC
The 2016 SRC Talent show was held in the last few weeks of last term. Students sang, danced and played to their fellow students during lunchtime performances. The SRC worked tirelessly as ‘roadies’, collected money and ‘judged’ the acts before making decisions about what performances would be in our final. All performers were very entertaining and had a great deal of fun. They participated courageously every time. The final was held on Thursday 22 September. The finalists were: Jeremy and Leon Spikmans, playing cello; Hannah Moss, Molly Gill and Isabelle Cooke, dancing to Like a Drum; Annabelle Jeyachandran, who did a cool trick with a broom!; Evie Shandler, Rosie Moss and Annabelle Orme, dancing to Better When I’m Dancing; Ashley Bulsara, playing Fur Elise on piano; Bethany Davison, Lillian Byrnes and Abbey Heath, Lip Sync to It’s Raining Tacos;
Nikolai Miller and Luke El-Fadle, playing guitar and drums and singing We will Rock You; Keri Muhlmann, singing River Deep; Dominic Hart, playing Disco Kid on piano; Keri Muhlmann and Ethan El-Fadle dancing to The Wanderer; Khelia Commins, dancing to Shake it Off; and Holly Richmond, Olivia Bird, Amy Rossetto, Shaely Commins, Jessie Czapla, Jessica Stevens, Heidi Wood and Taylor Brickwood Adams, cheerlead/ gymnastics to Where are you now?
Congratulations to all the finalists who put on an outstanding performance which the whole school thoroughly enjoyed. Many thanks to the SRC for all their hard work in coordinating the heats and the final.

Principal’s Report
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Welcome back to a very busy Term 4. Already we have
whizzed through two weeks of school and the end of term and
2016 is speeding towards us.
First I would like to send out a big thank you to IGA for the
$1000 donation to our school as part of their Community Chest.
We will put the money to good use buying necessary resources for our school.
I am taking three weeks of leave commencing today and will return to BEPS on 15 November, 2016.
Mr Michael Frith will be relieving as Principal throughout this time.
Congratulations to all the potential Year 6 leaders of our school as you prepare to make your final
speeches and students prepare to vote for their leaders 2017. I would like to wish you all the best.
Remember, if you don’t make the Captains and Prefects team there are many other opportunities to lead
across our school – Library Monitors and House Captains to name two.
Our Celebration Concert is on 22 November, 2016 and I am looking forward to another wonderful night of
entertainment. When the tickets go on sale, I ask that everyone only purchase a maximum of four tickets to
start with so that everyone has the opportunity to attend. In addition, be aware that they sell very quickly,
so you need to be ready to purchase straight away.
Healthy Harold is visiting our school over the next two weeks, in addition to Swim School being run, so
please make sure your children are at school on time so they don’t miss out.
Also in this newsletter is an ad for the two photocopiers that we are retiring from the office. We have
ordered two new ones two be delivered shortly, so are looking to sell off the others. Please contact Karyn
in the office if you have any questions.
Looking forward to seeing you all over the last part of this term,
Kerry.
