FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AT BSD!

The state DOE has adopted the waivers through USDA to allow FREE meals to all students for the 2021-22 school year. While we are excited about the continuation of free meals, we would like to remind you that free and reduced applications will still be available. The P-EBT Program and Textbook Fees are based on this eligibility. It is also beneficial to have a true snapshot of our free and reduced programs, which in turn opens Bloomfield School District up to participate in more opportunities for students and our school. Encourage your child to eat breakfast and lunch every day in the cafeteria. It saves you money and strengthens the cafeteria food program.

SUMMER PROGRAMMING

Summer School was offered for 4 weeks in the morning this summer with approximately 120 students participating in grades K-12. These students were able to take advantage of more one-on-one help, made significant gains in math and English content, and received a free breakfast and lunch! In addition, our 21st Century CCLC program provided summer enrichment in the afternoon, following morning summer school. Activities included: designing, building, and running robots, caring for and milking goats, planting seeds in order to learn the life-cycle of vegetation, tree identification, tie-dying shirts, learning water safety, and many other fun STEM activities.

COVID RE-ENTRY PLAN

A proposed updated COVID re-entry plan is posted on

our website at www.bsd.k12.in.us for board

recommendation on July 29, 2021.
