The Filmmakers Ian Gordon and Robert Stroh have known each other for many years and have already ac-

complished a number of projects successfully. During the last two years they have now put their joint idea of

this special film project into action. Other than through their professional commitment in fly fishing they are

also connected through their passion for and attitude to this wonderful sport.

Ian is a Spey casting world champion, internationally renowned instructor, guide und salmon fisherman.

Additionaly he has worked as a responsible consultant for Hardy & Greys for many years.

Robert is an internationally renowned splitcane rodmaker, organiser of Europe‘s largest and most important

fly fishing show - Erlebniswelt-Fliegenfischen - EWF (Experience the World of Fly Fishing) - as well as an

enthusiastic salmon fisherman.

Hailing from the river Spey in Scotland, Ian is regarded as being one of the world’s leading experts with a double handed rod.

He begun fishing aged eight and worked as a Ghillie on the Knockando beat for 22 years. A Former World, individual, as well as team Speycasting Champion, he holds a STANIC and AAPGAI instructor’s qualification in Salmon.
