QM001707876 When two application classes with similar names were loaded on the PATROL console, the collectors failed to collect data. A similar problem might occur for NFS and ZPOOL application classes.

QM001708296 The MG_SYS application class instances were displayed in an incorrect hierarchy on the BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management (BPPM) console.

NOTE Before you install the patch files, you must have previously installed BMC PATROL 9.10.00. The patch does not contain all of the files that are required for a complete product release. Technical Bulletin August 10, 2011

ownloading the installation utility and the patch

This section provides the information that you need to download the installation utility and the patch from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website.

If you have previously downloaded other BMC products, you might have an older version of the installation utility on your hard drive. To ensure that you are using the correct version of the installation utility for this patch, use the following instructions to download the installation utility.

To download the installation utility and patch from the EPD site

1 Create a temporary directory in which to place the downloaded files.

    2 Go to https://webapps.bmc.com/signon/content/logon.jsp.

3 Enter your user ID and password, and click Submit.

    4 Click Download Product.

5 On the Export Compliance and Access Terms page, provide the required information, agree to the terms of the agreements, and click Continue.

  • Downloading the installation utility and the patch

46 If you are accessing this site for the first time, create an EPD profile; otherwise, skip to step 7:

A Under Localized Languages, select the language for the patch release.

B Under Install Platforms, select the platforms to download for the patch.

    C Click Save Profile.

7 Verify that the correct profile is displayed for your download purpose, and ensure that the Licensed Products tab is displayed.

    8 Locate the installation utility:

A Locate the product name (BMC Performance Manager for Servers) and expand its entries to show the available version numbers.

B Expand the version number (BMC Performance Manager for Servers 3.1.00) for the required platform to show the available files.

Download Manager enables you to download multiple files consecutively, and to resume an interrupted download if the connection drops.

This method requires a one-time installation of the Akamai Net session Client program on the target computer and is usually the faster and more reliable way to transfer files. A checksum is used to verify file integrity automatically.
