T H E R O A D T O Y O U R B M W

After the introduction of the R nineT based Concept 90 in 2013, RSD’s vision of a customizable BMW platform was realized. In response, RSD developed a stylish and functional product line to customize your BMW R nineT with Contrast Cut billet products and beautiful Seats. We have now expanded the BMW offering with a line for GS and Water Boxer Engines, as well as adding our most sought after finish, Black Ops on the R nineT products.

Riding and customization of motorcycles are both unique passions that exists on separate, yet also parallel planes.The harmony of putting those two things together in a machine that’s fun to ride and easy to work on is no easy task and a major factor in why we chose to design, engineer and produce our line of BMW parts. We saw that BMW understood the performance vs.customization idea from a very basic level, from the ground up really. Our collection of products takes advantage of this simplicity and vision to help you realize your version of whata BMW can be. Functional, simple, high quality parts with big visual impact are the core of the RSD line of BMW parts. We strive to give that extra level of quality, one detail at a time,keeping the core of the machine as it was delivered from the factory.

Valve Covers are the highlight of your BMW Boxer motor, and RSD has taken special care designing these highly visible pieces. Finely CNC machined in Southern California with exact tolerances and added strength. Our unique three stripe plug wire cover keeps your wires secure and hidden. The covers are machined from a 6061 aluminum forging and black anodized with a UV protective finish, now in both Contrast Cut and Black Ops, both unique finishes developed by RSD.

We introduced our R nineT Radial Contrast Cut product line in 2015 and are now expanding the line with our Black Ops finish. Black Ops is a two-tone black finish that utilizes both a textured black and gloss black finish on one part. It’s aggressive, but subtle; the perfect product line to customize your R nineT.

The billet machined RSD Boxer Breast Plate is a bold statement that’s reminiscent of an auto grill in its aesthetic effect. Our Breast Plate replaces the stock plastic piece with a crown jewel for your AirCooled Boxer motor. Simple and bold, it changes the front end view of the bike drastically while allowing the airflow necessary to keep your motor vented.

The R nineT Headlight is just the right size and shape, so we put the effort into building a Bezel to accentuate an already beautiful headlight. The RSD Radial styling features a ball end milled detail, giving the front of your R nineT a unique look.

All Radial Plugs are CNC machined from billet aluminum and now available in Gloss Black and Contrast Cut. The Radial Rear Drive Pivot Plug replaces the standard plastic rear drive pivot cover with something a little more stylish. The Radial Rear Axle Plugs cover the holes through the rear axle. The Radial Swing Arm Pivot Plugs cover the standard zinc coated steel fasteners in your Swing Arm Pivots.

Simple and stylish Bar Ends are made from billet aluminum available in Gloss Black or Contrast Cut to set off your handlebars. Designed matched to the Radial product line, they will compliment the rest of the RSD products on your R nineT. Also available in Gloss Black.

Recommended Product Maintenance

Black Ops

Wash with mild soap and water, no detergents or harsh chemical cleaners that can destroy the black anodized finish. You may use a non-abrasive wax with UV protectant on the black anodized portion of the product to protect it. Never use a harsh or abrasive wax as it will remove the black anodized finish. Avoid exposure to UV rays whenever possible.

See above for Black Anodized portion. For the milled area on standard Contrast Cut wash with mild soap and water, no detergents or harsh chemical cleaners. To remove stains on the milled area you may use the following methods depending upon the condition of the product.• A mild MAG polish will remove mild stains from the milled area, but will make the milled area shiny as it contains some abrasives. CAUTION: Take extreme care not to use this on the Black Ano surface of any product as it will remove the black finish.

• Scotch bright can be used to remove more severe stains on the milled area. CAUTION: Measures should be taken up to and including masking to ensure that the Black Ano surface of any product is not damaged.

Wash with mild soap and water. No detergents or harsh chemical cleaners should be used, as they can destroy the anodized finish. Wax and/or cleaners containing wax are not recommended as they may leave an uneven finish on the matte surface. Detail spray or WD40 also work well for “dry cleaning” or wipe-down. Due to semi-rough surface of the finish, we recommend using a micro-fiber or other lint free type of cloth so as not to leave behind any remnants of the cloth.
