Health & Welfare Benefits   

In order to secure and hold staff committed to student learning, the Governing Board recognizes theimportance of an attractive compensation package which includes salaries, health benefits and otheramenities.

It is the intent of the district to assure Classified and Certificated Contract Senior Management,Management, Supervisory, and Confidential employees similar benefits as those granted to bargaining unitemployees. While those benefits may not be identical, they will provide for similar types of coverage.However, Classified and Certificated Contract Senior Management, Management, Supervisory, andConfidential employees may receive other types or levels of coverage as part of an annual compensationreview.

The district will contribute $6,000 annually towards health benefits to Contract Senior Management,Management, Supervisory, and Confidential employees. The district's contribution shall be adjusted upwardto equal the contributions provided to the bargaining unit members in the event the bargaining units receivean increased contribution amount toward their benefits.

In addition to any other life insurance benefits the district currently provides, management employees shallreceive the following:

* The Superintendent shall receive a $750,000 whole life policy in addition to any other policy received,under the same terms and conditions stated in his/her contract.

* Assistant Superintendents and Business Services Administrator shall receive a $300,000 whole life policyin addition to any other policy received, under the same terms and conditions stated in their contract orauthorized by the Superintendent.

* All other management level employees shall receive $150,000 term life insurance.
