Opening Items 1.01 Prayer & Pledge of Allegiance The prayer was offered by Adam Bass, district 5 board member. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Duane Deen, district 4 board member. 1.02 Approval of the Minutes of the Regular Session of the Board for April 30, 2020 A motion was made to approve the Minutes of the Regular Session of the Board for April 30, 2020 as printed. A motion was made to approve accrued annual leave (vacation) days over the 45-day maximum for professional 12-month employees to be rolled over to the 2020-2021 school year. Motion by Shane Cheatham, second by Eric Newman Final Resolution: Motion Carries Yea: Dennis Bamburg, Adam Bass, Kent L Bockhaus, Billie Jo Brotherton, Shane Cheatham, Duane Deen, Eric Newman, J W Slack, Kenneth M Wiggins 3.02 Request: Consider proposal to refund a portion of health and dental premiums to employees (Presented by Nicia Bamburg, Chief Financial Officer) A motion was made to approve refunding a portion of health and dental premiums to employees as presented. 3.04 Request: Approval of Solicitation Award CM1405A Haughton High Classroom Wings & Admin Building (Presented by Kerry Douglas, Chief Procurement Officer) A motion was made that contract in the amount of $9,607,625.00 representing acceptance of the Base Bid plus Alternates 1, 2, & 3 be awarded to ELA Group, Inc. as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting specifications and authorize Superintendent to execute the contract. 3.05 Request: Approval of Solicitation Award CM1405D Haughton High Bleacher Repair (Presented by Kerry Douglas, Chief Procurement Officer) A motion was made that contract in the amount of $201,533.00 representing acceptance of the Base Bid be awarded to Douglas Construction & Remodeling, Inc. as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting specification and authorize the Superintendent to execute the contract. 3.06 Request: Strategy Session and/or Action Concerning Pending Litigation* * There may be an executive session to discuss strategy in litigation entitled “Lemon, et al v.
