● Approve and review August’s AGM Minutes

● President’s Report – Paul Kessler

○ Discussion of silent recruiting, player to player

○ Paul has asked competitions committee to look at

● Executive Director Report – Mark Carney

○ PWP, modeled after SoCal

■ All info under “safety tab” of Rugby NorCal site

■ Print PWP for players, parents and coaches

■ Four pieces

● Marti is PWP manager, any injury report that comes through to

RNC, she will follow up directly with AT, Coaches and parents of

● AT can label players as ineligible in CMS

● RNC concussion Edu form for all coaches, players and parents

○ Clubs will be asked to send this to RNC

● Marti will contact clubs who are not in compliance

● If a school or club uses their own independent AT they will be

trained to use InjureFree, we still need them to comply with our

reporting policy

● Every team will be required to have a medical kit on site

○ We have partnered with southwest athletic supplies

○ Medkits available for purchase

● Emergency action plans are required for every field that each club

uses

○ This will print via CMS when printing roster and headshots

for games

● Anyone who will use their own AT or EMT needs to contact Marti

and Mark

○ Questions:

■ Kevin Barth, do both parent and player have to sign the concussion

form??

● Yes, based on the language of the bill. A minor cannot sign any

legal binding doc, but the language says the parent signs on

behalf of player and parent.

■ Jeff Phillips, do we have to go through southwest supply for med kits?

● No

■ Jason Soares, do we have prices of kits?

● Yes, all listed on RNC website

○ Media Release form

■ Include as part of registration packet for all players

■ Covers both RNC and individual clubs

■ Any parent that has an issue, connect that parent with RNC

○ Questions

■ Karen Chance, can we use a different release if it includes RNC?

■ Unsure of AT costs

■ Still looking for sponsors to help offset AT costs

● Expect dues increase for next season (2018)

■ Has moved to a JotForm

■ Located on the RNC site, forms and templates on resources tab and

starting a new club tab

■ Only 12 received, deadline in less than a month

○ Coach, Admin, Ref must be registered through USAR

■ All players are registered through CMS

○ U8 registration and coach affiliation

■ U8 is non-contact, so U8 players are registered as rookie rugby player

non-contact player

■ Level 100 coach must be affiliated with that U8 club

■ Even if you are not fielding a U8 team, add a 100 level to that team so

that we are in compliance with USAR

○ 2017 Master schedule

■ Not posted to website, but will be sent out with minutes by 11-17-16

■ Calendar on Website is up to date with all tournaments/dates/playoffs/etc.

■ Any clubs who want to host a 7s tournament contact Marti

○ Coach and Ref courses

■ Ref level 1 course at River City

● Email Marti for anyone who wants to register, we need 2-3 people

to make it viable

■ They are trying to get a Central Valley Ref course

○ Fundraiser, youcaring.com

■ Online

■ Meant to help with Rookie Rugby and PWP

■ Share with everyone to help support our youth and RNC

○ Motion to approve Operations Manager Report

● VP Competitions Report – Jon Straka

■ Schedule is on track, few decisions left to make

■ Schedules will be out first or second week of December

■ Premier needs to finalize some new clubs

■ Playoffs will mimic last year, quarterfinals and semis

■ JV schedule won’t be final in December, wait until KOT to see who has

solid JV sides

■ 5 teams want to join Premier

○ Annual coaches meeting

○ Girls KOT is Jan. 14 @ Cordova HS

○ Divide geographically for 6 league games

○ Get back to Karen with numbers to confirm viable sides

○ Hoping to double middle school program, 6-8 teams, will follow girls HS schedule

○ Any club that doesn’t have a full 15, at-large bid, with numbers new teams can

join the league

○ Girls Invitational in the works

■ 3 fields in Livermore

■ Perhaps Stanford location

■ March 11-12
