REGULAR MEETING
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of the Special Services School District and TheInstitute of Technology of The County of Burlington was held on Thursday evening, January 31, 2013, at the Rutgers Center, 2 Academy Drive, Mt. Holly, NJ.
The meeting was called to order at 5:34 p.m. by Robert Silcox, President, followed by the flagsalute.
Paul Whitman, Board Secretary-BCIT, stated that this meeting was in accordance with the OpenPublic Meeting Act and that this was a public meeting.

Minutes: Paul Whitman presented Minutes of December 20, 2012. On a motion by Paula Leeand seconded by Leon Jones the Board approved the Minutes of December 20, 2012.

Superintendent Report Donald P. Lucas, Superintendent, presented report. On a motion by Kathleen Burgess and seconded by Paula Lee, the Board approved the Superintendent’s Report.Mr. Ferry commented on the tuition reimbursement for the MOA for BCITAA stating he feltthey should have to work three years in the district upon receiving their degree.

I. Personnel: 1. B,C,D,; 2. B,C, and ConferencesPublic CommentsMs. Cindy Crowder spoke regarding her retirement from BCSSSD after 33 years and issues with transfer requests to the Board.
Board RemarksPaula Lee spoke on how touching the BCIT Adult Education Licensed Practical Nursing pinningceremony was.John Ferry spoke on the passing of the BCIT Foundation President, Robert Santare and requesteda moment of silence in his honor.
Executive Session Paul Whitman, Board Secretary-BCIT, read the resolution for executivesession. On a motion by Peggy Nicolosi and second by Leon Jones the Board went into closedsession at 5:50 p.m. On a motion by Kathleen Burgess and second by Leon Jones the Boardreturned to open session at 6:37 p.m.
AdjournmentSince there was no further business, Mr. Silcox asked for a motion to adjourn. On a motion by Christopher Baxter and second by Kathleen Burgess the Board adjourned at 6:38 p.m. with thenext meeting to be the regularly scheduled meeting of March 7, 2013, at Rutgers Media Center, 2Academy Dr., Westampton, NJ.
