Page 1 Board Reporter November 2019 From the President Beth Riggins 2019 President Thanks to everyone that took the time to at- tend Affiliate Appreciation Night a few weeks ago. Everyone enjoyed the burritos and other Mexican foods cooked by Barb Stock- well & Dave Schulz. And I also had several positive comments about the new program format. If you missed it, each affiliate was asked to provide information about a topic and answer a few questions. Many people told me it was a very informative evening. Several gas cards were given away as well as an enve- lope of cash and a folding/bag/camp chair. John & Pat Wheeler with Preferred Land Ti- tle won the drawing for a Free 2020 LOBR Affiliate Membership. I look forward to seeing many of you at the December Installation/Christmas Party on Friday December 6th. The theme for the evening will be Your Favorite Holiday Movie”. Dress as your favorite character, bring a me- mento, sing a song or ??? Daves famous La- sagna plus other Italian food will be served. Be sure to get out and vote on November 5th. Whether you are for or against the small in- crease in lodging tax that will go towards building a Soccer Complex, you should exer- cise your right to vote. Missouri Realtors® approved an Issues Mobilization Grant for $5000 to help promote new growth in the Lake Area during the Spring and Fall months. ($2500 on behalf of LOBR and $2500 on be- half of BDAR). Hopefully you have taken some time to read the details or attend some of the meetings around the Lake area to make an educated decision about this vote. Have you ever looked at the many benefits you get from being a member of NAR? Check out the deals on Dell computers, Jeep & Chrysler car purchases and vehicle leasing, Hertz car rental, health insurance and many other benefits. Meeting Minutes

October 9, 2019

Meeting was called to order at 8:59

In attendance were Bill Johnson, Karen Watkinson, Sue Kupfer, Beth Riggins, Sara Veile, Nancy Rogers, Ann Davidson, Cricket Staggs, Barb Stockwell, Linda Yelton

The agenda for the meeting was approved.

The minutes from last month’s meeting were approved.

John Olivarri, Mayor of Osage Beach and Roger Corbin, VP of LORDEC gave an update on the soccer complex.

Reports The MLS Committee gave a report.

An agreement with InfoSparks and Fast Stats was discussed. The issue was tabled until more information is obtained.

BDAR asked LOBR to reconsider SafeMS/Risk and it was denied.

Information was provided:

BDAR will reconsider HomeSnap

A committee from LOBR will attend BDAR’s next meeting to discuss the number of photos

Access to lockboxes by affiliate members was discussed

Bagnell BOD is considering allowing mobiles on leased lots

Cricket Staggs will post an instructional video on Showing Time on Facebook

OLD BUSINESS It was discussed if there should be a Board form for Buyer and Seller to sign regarding active/contingent status.

NEW OFFICES Show Me Real Estate Group, LLC; Ojo Home, LLC, Living the Dream were all approved as new offices.

NEW MEMBERS Cassandra White, Laurie Realty Services was approved; Angela Enochs, Show Me Real Estate Group; LLC was approved; Mariah Carmichael, Show Me Real Estate Group, LLC was approved; Stephen Sibiga, Ojo Home, LLC was approved; Darrell Hindman, Living the Dream; Jeremy Hunter, Living the Dream; Jeffrey Browing, Living the Dream were all approved as new members.

NEW BUSINESS

The copier lease was discussed. It was approved to lease a new copier.

A By-Law change for the Code of Ethics was approved

Bill Johnson discussed the Soccer Fields.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:40.

Membership Meeting Minutes

October 15, 2019

The meeting was called to order at 5:30.

Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Dinner was served with Affiliates eating first.

The budget was presented by Treasurer, Ann Davidson. It was discussed, voted on and passed.

Affiliate discussions on several different topics followed: 1. Pam Huschle with Central Bank 2. Brent Rice and Howard Stitch with BPG 3. Dave Salisbury and Michael Wagner with

Bank of Sullivan 4. Billie Oberste with Goodman Gravely 5. Katie Karr with Flat Branch Mortgage 6. John Wheeler with Preferred Title 7. Kathy Anderson with Gateway Mortgage 8. Herman Page with Achosa Home Warranty 9. Ron Yarbrough with Prime Lending 10. Gerry Phillips with Movement Mortgage 11. Sharla Silva with Sunrise Title 12. Several Gas Gift cards were given away to

the Membership. 13. Nancy Rogers held a raffle drawing for Rpac.

Ed Oberste won the Realtor shirt. 14. Bill Johnson gave an update on the soccer

field. 15. John Wheeler with Preferred Title won the

Affiliate drawing for a Free basic member-ship for 2020

Meeting was adjourned at 7:35

The Board of Directors only had 2 motions come before it at this meeting. One was to approve the Budget for 2020 and the other was to approve the Strategic Plan for 2020-2022. Both motions passed. I’ve attached (link below) the Strat Plan, it’s pared down a very user friendly.

I’ve also attached (link below) the Minutes from the meeting so you can read the CEO’s report and the President’s Report.

We had an excellent national speaker at the Open Session, Orlando Bowen. He was motivational and inspiring. He is an ex-national football player and if you ever get the chance to hear him speak, take it, you won’t be disappointed.
