helps gets more state tournament spots.Mike brought up a copy of the SOWB Guidelines. Point- Each board is responsible for
where an am will work.PNBOA policy. After 15 games you need to pay PNBOA dues. Assignors can not see
if someone with availability is an AM or not. Arbiter will be able to make that
denotion. We have 31 SOWB working as AM WE have 72 working on the SOWB side.Question: What is the benefit of registering both SOWB & PNBOA?Covering gamesMore sate assignmentsConcerns: Mike L. People need to have a choice.Leslie: A guy wants to work both then they give up days: e.g. Mike L, who has a
passion for both associations, will give 2 Fridays a month to Leslie & 2 to John.Opinion votes for keeping the AM Agreement Majority yeaOpinion vote for registering both groups. Majority yea

2. AM Committee: Noel, Mike J, Tim, DougTask: How to communicate to members about decision? How to put members in
correct role. How to maximize benefits.
3. AM WOA Due ReconciliationHow to cover dues that people have been charged. For an Example an am like
Rodney Thornley does not work any SOWB who is going to pay his $30 WOA AM
Committee will work on that.4. Recruiting Joint recruiting efforts as in 09-105. Joint MeetingIdeas- Mechanics meeting, Talk about am status, Duel credit for members.VPs work together on one joint meeting.Opinion vote: To have one meeting dealing with mechanics, and AM issues
Majority yea6. Apprentices:One class in the fall. Spring training just doesnt work so well and was used to help
numbers. Dont need now. Able to be more selective on whom we keep. Have
separate administrative meetings? Small differences, is it enough.
SOWB has 35 people interested as of now and the PNBOA has 160.
7. Arbiter /Game Assign usageE-mail today from WOA to Mike Jurenka. Arbiter wont support uploads anymore.
One of Biggest obstacles with Arbiter is observations. How to input
scores? Assigning observers? Tim and tech committee are in communication with
arbiter.Ira: We can use arbiter or not officiate school ball. We need to move forward and
figure out how arbiter will work for us. Ira says state didnt do a good job of
communicate Arbiter implementation. Stripezone/game assign could be options for
inputting games. Use or information only? State says use. Why? Have to ask
Todd. How are we going to roll out Arbiter to members. Having Arbiter training

sessions. PNBOA has a solid plan for e-mails, on line training and live training
sessions. Roll out September 1st.
8. Observations joint Efforts:Hard to work stack Games.Observed games are assigned by who needs an observation and by what observer.9. Assigning protocols
Members will need to make a designation to assignors of which group you belong to. Assignors will have to spend 3x as much time.Software as a service.Members have to be instructed on how to make themselves available for numerous
assigners. Separating PNBOA rec vs. PNBOA school. Does take a lot longer to doassignments. Matt says data is his? Do we need negotiation with Matt? Need to
have phone call with Matt. Software as a service? Trying to get login
passwords. Different that trying to get data.
10. Observations Problem isnt not wanting to observe officials on stack
games. Problem is whole coordination of officials and observers.(see # 8) Who is
complaining? Observers? Make sure observers they know process. Fridays are just
about getting games assigned. Adhoc committee for dealing with Observation
program.
11. Facebook How best to use this resource. What about people complaining about
assignments and such on Facebook. Bad mouthing boards and players. Last referee
magazine has information about this. How to address to our members. Anti-
disparaging comments.
