Viña Errázuriz VallE dEl aconcagua, chilE

Esta flamante bodega, destinada a elaborar los vinos íconos de Errázuriz, fue concebida como un contraste con las instalaciones centenarias de la viña, aún en uso. Diseñada por Samuel Claro Swinburn, la moderna sala de vinificación está construida sobre la base de un octógono rodeado de velas de hormigón que se desprenden del verde de los viñedos circundantes. El espacio interior curvo, de tres niveles, refuerza el perfil sustentable y gravitacional de la bodega, y remata en la sala de degustación, con vista a las plantaciones. / Errázuriz’s flagship wines will be made in this new installation, designed to contrast with the winery’s centuries-old facilities, which are still in use today. The modern winemaking room created by Samuel Claro Swinburn is built on an octagonal base and surrounded by concrete “sails” that stand out against the structure’s green surroundings. The three-level curved interior reinforces the sustainable, gravitational focus of the cellar and concludes with a tasting room that offers a view of the vineyards.www.errazuriz.com

Bodega InstItucIonal la grajera la rIoja, españa / spaIn

Diseñada por Virai Arquitectos, esta bodega de Logroño (parte del Instituto de Ciencias de la Vid y el Vino de La Rioja), es un ejemplo de construcción respetuosa con el medio ambiente. Tres volúmenes, de cuerpo ligero y alargado, crean una plaza peatonal por la que se accede a los espacios, que se adaptan a los accidentes del terreno. El sector productivo consta de un zócalo semienterrado de piedra arenisca que se convierte en un elemento más del paisaje. Dos accesos, a distintas alturas, aprovechan la pendiente usando la gravedad y la ventilación natural. / Designed by Virai Arquitectos, this Logroño winery – which forms part of Instituto de Ciencias de la Vid y el Vino in La Rioja – is an example of environmentally friendly construction. It has three long, light structures built around the unique characteristics of the land; together, they create a plaza from which each of the spaces can be accessed. The half-buried sandstone foundation of the winemaking area blends easily into the landscape. Two points of access at different heights allow the slope of the property to provide gravitational pull and natural ventilation.www.icvv.es

VIña o. FournIer san carlos, Mendoza, argentIna

Construida a 1.200 metros de altura, en plena cordillera de los Andes, y diseñada por Bórmida & Yanzon Arquitectos, la modernísima bodega de O. Fournier consta de cuatro edificios en desnivel que facilitan la elaboración del vino por gravedad natural. El conjunto, de marcado carácter vanguardista, utiliza hormigón armado y metal, otorgando un sello tecnológico a su estructura. Sus colores terrosos son producto del mismo suelo que se empleó en la mezcla del hormigón. / Built nearly 4,000 feet above sea level in the middle of the Andes Mountains and designed by Bórmida & Yanzon Arquitectos, the very modern winery of O. Fournier consists of four buildings that have been placed on different levels in order to facilitate the use of gravity in the winemaking process. The cutting-edge, technological feel of the structures is accentuated by the use of reinforced concrete and metal.
