BODY & FACE ART GATHERING - PROGRAM

You need your own model for all activities and the model also has to registrate. At the workshops, the painter receives the extra e-ticket for the model, when ordering a ticket. Would you like to be a model for one of the painters, but do not have a permanent team (yet)? Sign up quickly too! You will find more information about the program and the workshops, times and prices below. For a detailed explanation of the activities see pdf 'FAQ! ACTIVITIES Both painters and models have to register in advance for all activities and workshops, so we can reserve space for you.

AFTERNOON PROGRAM (3-4 HRS)

Participation is free. Bring your own kit. We have some new activities this year! Those will start at 16.00 or 17.00 hrs and take 3-4 hrs. Just show up and let the inspiration flow!

For all participating artists and models entrance to the festival is free (e-ticket per day you submit). Required: registration in advance + checking in at the info point at The Gathering area.

Activities and workshops only take place with at least 7 registrations. Due to planning and organization, registration is requested before the end of March 2019.

Always wanted to paste someone behind some wallpaper? Well…here you will learn how to let your model disappear against the background. Several backdrops with challenging patterns and colourful images are waiting for you and your model. Get lots of tips & tricks and capture your work (with phone or camera) in the best way. Suitable for beginners and medium advanced body painters.

SFX WITH FOAM

Friday 11.00-17.00 hrs By Richard van der Laan

In 1 dag leer je de beginselen van het maken van een foam prothese van plaat materiaal. Deze zal gecoat en beschilderd worden en je krijgt de gelegenheid om deze aan te brengen. Vanwege de beschikbare tijd is de focus op het gezicht, maar je kunt deze ook op armen en benen aanbrengen.

Richard is an experienced bodypainter specialised in SFX creations for bodypainters and performers.

FANTASY WIGS

Saturday 11.00-17.00 hrs By Syl Verberk

Syl teaches you how to make fantastic wigs for your creations. As soon as you know the basics you can make endless variations to match your desired theme or costume. You get tips and tricks for making a wig and learn how to incorporate it in your face and/or body paint. If there is sufficient time left you can, if you like, create a matching (face) paint.

On Sunday you can participate in lots of activities from 11-20 hrs, but at the moment of writing this info we haven’t decided on a full day workshop yet. Suggestions are welcome! Mail your idea and, most important, the name of the person you would like to see as your workshop leader to: bodyandfacepaint@castlefest.com

SHORT WORKSHOPS: 2 HRS € 25,- / 3 HRS € 40,- New this year: a few shorter workshops in the afternoon/evening that will take about 2-3 hours. The 2-hour workshop only costs you €25 ,- and the 3-hour workshop is €40,- per participant.

Friday 17.00-20.00 hrs By Ton Nizet

Ton teaches you how to use make-up to enhance the face of your model, in line with your body paint! What techniques and materials can you use to give the illusion of larger eyes? How to make them stand out? What’s the fastest way to paste eyelashes? Ton demonstrates what you can achieve with eye shadow and body paint, after which you get to work with your model, under his guidance.

Apart from being a well-known bodypainter, Ton Nizet is very experienced as make-up artist with MAC.

Saturday 18.00 tot 20.00 hrs By Kim Leeftink

A fun and informative workshop for models, as well as photographers and painters who want to advise and guide their models as well as possible. From ‘what to pack’ to stage presentation. What can you do to make modelling the best and most colourful experience? (preparation, being painted, posing for photographers, jury presentation, stage presentation). All the do's & don'ts you need to know about the life of a body paint model. This is your chance to learn everything from Kim, world wide price winning body paint model!

Kim travelled the world and became 5x World Champion with teams in Austria and South Korea.
