2.0. Introduction
Technology is growing at an exponential rate, influencing consumer behaviour,
day-to-day operations and marketing strategies. By 2020, 80% of the global
population will have access to cell phones and more than 60% will have access to
smartphones or low-cost tablet computers, with a further anticipated rate of
more than 50 billion connected devices globally with mobile being the primary
internet device for most individuals. The question is, how will the rapid
evolutionary change and penetration of technology impact behavioral consumer
patterns and the operating model of local and global organisations.
With the day-to-day operations placing increased demands and constricted time
pressures for delivery on potential customers, customers have little, if any time at
all, to make use of rigid traditional methods to acquire knowledge, purchase and
consume products and services offered by organisations. With e-mail, pagers,
laptops, and cellphones, work is no longer confined to one setting and as a result
makes work in itself pervasive, resulting in the virtual office never closing and
individuals often working beyond the normal stipulated working hours.
Consumers therefore look to transact with organisations that provide them with
greater convenience, flexibility and sophistication to meet their needs.
Consumers prefer to interact with organisations that have transcended the rigid
and traditional paradigms of advertising, marketing and brand awareness, to a
technologically advanced customer centric organisations that clearly

demonstrates value to them as a client and also helps them “PROSPER” amidst
the challenges they encounter in their day-to-day existence,
“Customer buying behavior has irrevocably changed. Presale, they research
products online, read peer reviews, compare features and prices on websites, and
discuss options on social networking sites. Postsale, they expect companies to
engage with them online. Businesses have responded in three key ways:
dramatically increasing multichannel digital marketing activities and content;
creating ever-more compelling digital commerce experiences and blurring the
lines between the digital and physical world to satisfy buyers who want
convenience and services anywhere, anytime and anyhow” (Gartner Research,
2013)1
The internet and the global influence thereof on businesses and organisations
across all sectors and industries has propelled these institutions to greater heights
in terms of market exposure, market share and addtional revenue through
increased sales. Over and above the product and service offering provided by
these businesses, their online digital presence has enabled them to tap into
additional markets which were previously not possible via traditional brick and
mortar stores,
“In the next five years, traditional marketing and selling will shift to digital
channels to capitalize on the “power to the people” phenomenon that is displacing
brand-centric strategies in favor of buyer-driven everything. The results from

Gartner’s Digital Marketing Spending surveys indicate a shift in investments from
traditional marketing and selling techniques to the digital channels.” (Gartner
Research, 2013)2.
3.0. Proposal Objectives
This proposal seeks to present a value adding opportunity to enable Boikgantsho
Consulting & Events to have a digital presence on the world wide web (commonly
known as the Internet) taking into account the rapid evolution of technology,
social media and online platforms and content that would provide existing and
potential clients with unprecedented access to information to Boikgantsho
Consulting & Events as a well-established and renowned South African
management and training institute within the Further Education and Training
sector. With a dynamic and multi-channel digital presence, it is envisioned that
Boikgantsho Consulting & Events will be in a position to increase their brand
exposure, increase market share and subsequently drive higher revenue through
their existing and potentially new clientele,
“…by 2015, digital strategies, such as social marketing, will influence at least 80%
of consumers’ discretionary spending.” (Gartner Research, 2013)3.

4.0. Who is Hezuo?
Trading as Collabor8, Hezuo is Chinese for Collaborate. The question you may ask
is why we chose to register our company name in Chinese? Well the answer is
fairly straightforward and simple to grasp in that Hezuo as a research based,
forward thinking and innovative company we recognised that over 1 billion
people globally speak Chinese and with the Chinese invasion of Africa being
eminent, it is only a matter of time before Chinese dialects become the most
spoken continental language.
, is owned by two distinguished technology and business analysts
(Duduetsang Kgosi Mogase & Jerome Speckman) who have a forte for innovation
and problem-solving. From time to time we partner with individuals and
company’s dedicated to our vision of making “Africa the next superpower of the
world”. Collaboration is a central theme to our business operating model, our
belief is that the world of business is changing constantly and therefore why
shouldn’t the way we operate change too?
We bring innovative solutions to problems and challenges faced by our clients and
at best endeavor to always provide market leading solutions and sound advice to
