The Bolton Double B Ranch family welcomes you to the 21st Annual Central Montana Gelbvieh & Angus Genetics

Bull Sale! Our number one goal continues to be to provide you with bulls that can reduce your stress at calving time,

increase your pay weight at weaning, and give your cattle the type of gain and grade that will attract feeders and packers.

With today’s cattle market prices, an extra 50 pounds or more per calf and an extra few cents per pound for the carcass

value of your calves can really add up, and our bulls will help you do that!

We value the maternal and convenience traits in our Gelbvieh and Balancer heifers—fertility, structural soundness,

fleshing ability, longevity, docility and maternal instinct. All of these traits are inherent and are a big part of the genetic

makeup in the bulls we offer, as well as in their progeny and heifer offspring, which you will definitely want to retain for

your herd. Our animals are all docile; a trait we love and breed for, as our entire family is active in our operation, including

our young grandchildren. All cattle on the Bolton Double B Ranch respond easily to handling, treatment and routine

management, which will make the transition into your herd much easier on you, the animal and your operation as a

whole. Studies have shown that easy-to-manage cattle gain more weight per day, have a higher reproductive performance

and will make you more money than their temperamental counterparts.

We believe that we, as seedstock producers, have an important responsibility to commercial cattlemen—to take

advantage of new technologies and superior genetics, and to select animals that will help add quality to their product.

Genomic-Enhanced Expected Progeny Differences (GE-EPD) is just one of the technologies we use; using genomic tests

in addition to performance, pedigree, and progeny data allows for an earlier and more accurate estimation of an animal’s

performance. Gelbvieh Genomic Profiler – HD (high density) testing was completed on all our bulls offered in the sale

and the results are included in their data sheets.

We appreciate the opportunity to put our genetics and crossbreeding program to work on your cattle operation and

know these bulls won’t disappoint. We have two purebred Gelbvieh, nine Balancers and one 85 % Angus/15% Gelbvieh

bull to offer at the sale. We are really excited about their EPDs and phenotype!
