BONDEK@ l l steel prof i le has been developed from the or ig inal BONDEK@ prof i led steelsheet ing. l t has a s imi lar prof i le shape but a s igni f icant ly more ef fect ive longi tudinal tensi lereinforcement. The top of the ribs has been embossed to bring about greater tensile strength.Its higher yield strength and larger effective depth makes it more effective than the same areaof deformed bars or welded wire fabric.

BONDEK@ ll steel sheets are permanent formwork for a suspended composite concrete slab.In i ts assembled state, i t can be used as a working plat form and formwork to support wetconcrete, construction materials and trades. When the concrete hardens, BONDEK@ ll acts asthe bottom reinforcement of the concrete slab.

BONDEK@ ll is a complete structural steel decking system for concrete, masonry or steel frameconstruction.

The nominal d imensions of BONDEK@ l l prof i led steel sheet ing are shown in the f igure below.The ef fect ive cover width is 600mm. In the assembled state, the prof i le comprises twointermediate dovetail r ibs for every interlocking side-lap joint. The assembled ribs are all boldlyembossed along their exposed top faces.

Research & Development SupportBlueScope Lysaght places great emphasis on product research and test ing. Al l of ourLYSAGHT@ structural products are subjected to rigorous tests such as slip block test,formwork tests including shear and bearing, full scale slab test, composite slab cyclic test,fire rating test, formwork - air pressure test, formwork - four point load test and concentratedload test . These tests are carr ied out in the labs of the Lysaght Technology Centre inChester Hil l, Sydney, Australia, to ensure maximum performance and quality of our deckingprofi les.

lmproved Fire PerformanceBONDEK@ ll profi led steel sheeting has been put through further fire tests conducted atthe Victoria University of Technology to ascertain the contribution of BONDEK@ ll decksto the positive moment capacity of a composite slab in fire. The structural adequacy of thecomposi te s labs and i ts resistance of s igni f icant tensi le forces in bending, in addi t ion tothe conventional reinforcement, have been established.
