Character Traits Book ProjectChoose a chapter book from the Davis library.

• The book must not have been made into a movie.

• The book must have a main character. Do not use short story collections or poetry.

• Ask the teacher if you have questions about your choice.

Begin reading your book for 30 minutes or more each day.

• Identify the main characters and choose your favorite.

• Identify this character’s traits.• Find evidence to back up your ideas.• Fill in your planning guide.• Use the checklist.

Prepare your Body Biography.

• Complete all blanks.• Decorate the body outline to look like

your character. Use colorful pencils, markers or other art supplies to draw your character. Do not scribble. The picture needs to show good effort.
