Book Review

Book: Inheritance – book 4 in the inheritance cycle.

Author: Christopher Paolini.

This book continues the tale of Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, who, along with the Varden, the rebel force devoted to overthrowing the evil king

Galbatorix, are marching on the capital city of Urû'baen, where the king, along with his evil black

dragon, Shruikan, sits on his throne.

The book often referred to past books in the series, and missing anything in any of the books would

result in not understanding something in this book.

There was indeed a lot of action in this book, but also had quiet moments while they were on the island of Vroengard learning their true names in

the ancient language of the Elves.

Although this series doesn’t have one hundred percent original content, having ideas taken from LORD OF THE RINGS (the elf and dwarf races) and STAR WARS (rebelling against a evil empire). This

book was indeed an accomplishment, and I found it hard to put down. I really enjoyed this series and

was quite sad when I finished it.

I recommend it to anyone who likes being lost in a different world and escape while reading.
