Once again, super attendance from Year 6, followed closely by Year 5 - well done! 1st Place Year 6 100% 2nd Place Year 5 98.1% Joint 3rd Place Y1 & Y2 97% WORLD BOOK DAY CELEBRATIONS Book Swap success We hope the children all enjoy their ‘new’ books! Each class has decorated their door to reflect a book they are reading in class. Our Reading Café was a huge success and received some lovely feedback from parents and carers. Thank you for coming into school to share a book with your child(ren) - we hope to hold another event like this soon! There were some fantastic costumes on display for World Book Day from Fantastic Mr Fox, to Gangsta Granny, to The Old Lady who swallowed a Fly to name a few - well done everybody! Lovely idea. Well worth it for the children. (Reading café) Book swap also a great idea. Excellent idea to have parents & children interacting together on World Book Day. Very laid back and an excellent way to celebrate the day - loved it.

Pride Assembly

Our next Pride Assembly is on Friday 10th March 2017. Parents of the children below are warmly invited to attend the assembly. Please come along to main reception just before 9am. Well done to all the children who have worked hard this week. We are all proud of your achievements.

Reception Archie Scollick For using his phonic knowledge to write words and phrases

independently.

Year 1 Tiffany Villaneuva For trying hard in all of her work, particularly her writing.

Year 2 Morgan Ward For a super attitude towards her writing and thinking carefully

about what she wants to write.

Year 3 Morgan Taylor For working hard and always taking part in class discussions.

Year 4 Lili-Mae Ruston For her effort and commitment to her own progress.

Year 5 Joshua Smith Joshua is working his socks off. He is becoming more and

more independent and is producing some great pieces of

writing. Well done Joshua!

Year 6 Mitchell Kelly For his improved concentration and contribution during Maths

lessons.

Dylan Bensley Dylan is working incredibly hard in his English lessons. He is

taking on board feedback and acting on it. He has made

great progress in his writing and I am thoroughly enjoy marking

his work. Keep it up Dylan!

Harry Musgrave For making a noticeable improvement with his reading,

especially with sight words.

Krystal Watts For excellent understanding and reasoning with multiplication

work.
